Love having an ice cream shop in Chico with a variety of vegan options that range beyond just chocolate or vanilla. Their flavors change seasonally and are always delicious. The vegan ice cream base is coconut, but as someone who doesn't usually care for coconut, I can't taste it at all! My favorites so far have been s'mores, orange creamsicle, and Chico Chai. Their waffle cones are also vegan and gluten free and are handmade in the shop.

Never miss visiting when in town - Edit
There is nothing like Chico Chai ice cream with their gluten free cone. We look forward to it whenever we are in town. Appreciate that there are actually lots of vegan ice cream flavors to choose from. Nice inside and patio seating. We also had cookie dough and mint chip. Loved lots of chunks of goodness in each flavor. This place is not to be missed.

Appreciate they use real spoons for samples and compostable bowl and spoon for scoops. They serve a Flight too with 4 flavors. What a great concept.

One of the best ice cream spots I’ve been to! About half the options are vegan, the waffle cones are vegan, and they even have a vegan cookie!

Third, the mini scoop is just $3 and a generously-sized portion.
Fourth, their flavors are bold. For example, the Chai and the Coffee flavors are nice and strong, not watered down.
Fifth, the texture is purrfect! Creamy and smooth, and it actually melts [unlike other vegan ice creams that seem to just become room-temperature blobs of fat (yuck)].
Sixth, they have yummy housemade vegan waffle cones that are also gluten-free.
Seventh, why are you still reading this and not biking over to Savor?! ;😉
Eighth, seriously...head over there as soon as you can. Totally worth it!

So, half of their menu is vegan. Where else do you see that? Nowhere! And they source their flavors locally, like their cold brew flavor is from Daycamp and chai from Chico Chai. So, duh, their ice cream is delicious! I've gone twice and have had their cold brew and fresh strawberry. Was not disappointed, at all!
Read moreI was even able to get a mini scoop for $3, so even though it's smaller there's an inexpensive option. Their other sizes do get pricey, though. I'll probably still be going to La Flor de Michoacán if I want bigger scoops.

Vegan waffle cones and lots of flavors! - Edit
More than half the flavors were vegan!!! And they had very gourmet flavors such a matcha, cold brew, Lavendar, etc. We had the cold brew and the mint chip…both were really good! The waffles cones are also very good! They are happy to let you sample flavors too! Such a great little ice cream shop!
