Serves meat, vegan options available. Calzone shop where you can pick from the menu (omit dairy), or build your own. Sauces come on the side, choose from a variety of veggie fillings. Dough is vegan. BBQ sauce, house red sauce, and spicy red sauce are all vegan. (Meat sauce and Salsa Verde are not vegan. Salsa Verde contains chicken stock.) For salads the only vegan dressing is the Ginger Soy dressing. Open Mon-Wed 11:00am-10:00pm, Thu-Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm.

Try the Skinny V

Sauce on the side was always okay for vegans. They didn't have vegan cheese, but had plenty of veggies and the marinara and dough for their calzones is vegan. But now they offer the Skinny V calzone with Vegan Pepperoni / Vegan Meatballs / Vegan Cheese / White Onion / Green Peppers / Roasted Garlic / Served with Spicy Red Sauce. It's good! I think next time I'll skip the peppers and add some olives and mushrooms, but so happy to have this fully vegan option.
It does not look it's listed on their online menu, but is available when you go to place a order online. It also was only available at first at the Grove location, but I have since read it is (or will be soon) available at all locations. I encourage everyone to try it out!

Skinny V

Skinny V was excellent but I recommend adding some more veggies to balance it out. Marinated zucchini is wonderful on its own too!

5 star calzone

Haven’t had a calzone in DECADES because it’s hard to find vegan ones. Sauce on the Side has one vegan calzone with vegan pepperoni, sausage, cheese, peppers and onions. It was definitely worth the wait!
