nice staff, good food - Edit
There is an delicious buffet with hot and cold dishes. You pay per plate (3 sizes between 7,90€ and 11,90€) drinks/soups/deserts excluded. You have a wide range of choices and every time I come here I'm barely able to finish my plate. So as I learned today, if you ask nicely, they're happy to help you out with one of their take away containers and a paper bag.

Sattgrün - my favourite vegan food in Düsseldorf - Edit
The buffet they offer is overwhelming and I still try to get a bite of everything cause everything looks (and tastes delicious). You can either choose a small, medium or large plate and fill it once or alternatively choose from one of the soups.
Pros: Amazing variety of vegan foods, Price
Cons: Reservation recommended if you don't want to sit n

Einfach bombastisch ❤️ - Edit
The food is absolutely amazing. Every time I went there it was fresh and delicious.
Pros: fresh, healthy , cheap
Cons: keine

Great vegan restaurant - Edit
Vegan buffet,- so much choice of salads and warm dishes! Especially liked the seitan dish and the crispy tofu with coconut. The vegetables were fresh and well cooked.
I read on another review from 2008 that they don't mention they're vegan. Well, now it's marked on all dishes, and they even have vegan books and vegan information. Great to see they make coffee with nut or soy milk without charging extra (unless it's almond or coconut). Very cosy atmosphere, the staff is awesome.
Pros: Great atmosphere, Super friendly staff, Clean
Cons: Closes early, Can't pay with Visa or non-German bank cards

Das Buffett-Konzept ist spitze und die Preise nach Tellergröße sind günstig.
Pros: reichhaltiges kaltes und warmes veganes Buffet

Nothing special - Edit
Have been to most of their locations. Although I think the concept is okay I was never that impressed by it.
The food is okay, but not that great. The atmosphare is okay, but not that great.
To me it feels like a glorified saladbar and I don't fully get why everybody is over the moon about it. As mentioned, it is an okay place for a lunch, but I think Düsseldorf has other places that offer better food and a nicer atmosphere.

My favorite place to eat in the city centre, with friends or as a take away lunch. With a great buffet of hot and cold foods, two different soups every day and delicious cakes and hot drinks for dessert, the restaurant impressed me and all of my friends.
Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Clear information on alergies
Cons: Smal restaurant that somtimes gets crowded

A new favorite place close to the city center. Has indoor and outdoor seating. You can sit or take away. It's a really posh atmosphere. I really enjoyed this place because you can purchase food by the container and pick and chose what to put inside of it.

Excellent restaurant / cafe. Really good food. About 12-13 Euro for a large plate from buffet and a beer. Friendly staff and (it seemed) customers. Loads of vegan stuff. Recommended.

Really nice place ! - Edit
Me and my boyfriend have been traveling in Germany for a few days, and we went to this place twice. The price was really reasonable (you can choose between three sizes of plates : small - medium - large, we took the medium one for 7,90 euros. They also have two size for bowls for the soup, which we didn't try.) It is a kind of self service, mostly vegan (if not completely vegan, and tries to be as fair trade as possible.) Full every time at noon, as it seems, and I'm not surprised : the food quality is really nice. A lot of different salads, curries, ... Really nice for a lunch time !
Pros: Good price, Diverse, Vegan - Fair Trade

Pros: large portions, tasty, all vegan
Cons: no fat free opions, salads weren't as amazing as cooked dish

Amazing! - Edit
We went there before catching a flight to Morocco.
We didn't really see the city but absolutely loved this restaurant!
The hardest part was not too overfill our plates, everything looked (and was) so good!
I wrote an article on my blog about it if you want more info.
Enjoy! :)

Nice Surprise! - Edit
After a grumpy hour of wandering around in the bad weather searching for a nice place to eat I stumbled across this place.
The smells and sounds on entry were delicious! I say "sounds" because Jack Johnson, my fav artist, was playing on the stereo!
They have a wide buffet variety, all vegan I believe, and friendly staff who speak English and German.
I go here whenever I'm in Dusseldorf now. Perfect place for a convenient and filling meal. Just wish it stayed open longer.
Pros: Great music, Wonderful staff, Delicious food
Cons: Limited opening hours, A little pricey

Fresh and tasty - Edit
Buffet style. I love their food because they include lots of seasonal vegetables and their fake meat is good and not too meaty. Before choosing a soup, the customers may taste them. How cool is that?!? Their chocolate cake and crumble (fruit changes according to season) are a must.

Sattgrun Dusseldorf - Edit
This is an vegetarian oasis in a meat eating city. Well perhaps that's a bit unfair, but it was lovely not to have to worry about whether I could eat something or not (as always.) It's very meat substitute orientated, which hit the spot on the occasion I visited. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back next time I am in Dusseldorf.

Pros: Delicious, Filling but healthy seeming, V reasonably priced
Cons: Communal tables, n.b. lots of meat substiutes

Sattgrün - Edit
I would like to have a Sattgrün here in Hamburg. Because of the wide range of different options, it won´t get boring. One plate is enough to satisfy.
The staff is also delightful as much as the atmosphare. I can recommend this place.
Pros: good value, friendly staff, nice vibe

amazing - Edit
this place offers a huge variery of food. you choose the plate size, then you fill it with everything you want. maybe we looked very weird and starving to all the german people there with our "little pyramid" of food. anyway we ate a lot and we went back to the street rolling. quantity and quality were the top. excellent value for money. one of the best places ever.
Pros: food quality, low prices

Pleasantly surprised. - Edit
At first I was sceptical, because I usually don't like buffet-like restaurants and because from my point of view the prices were very high (5.9€ for a small bowl/plate of hot dishes and 7.9€ for a large bowl/plate), but one day, as I was really hungry, I just tried it and I must say: wow, Sattgruen is awesome!
Even a small plate full of hot dishes makes you really full, as you can put as much as you want on it AND you can try everything, so you're not obligated to choose just one dish.
The buffet is completely vegan. And I love the drinks they offer, as well. They're all either organic or fair-trade or both! Try the lemonades!
I really recommend this place and I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Pros: delicious, organic
Cons: pricey

great and inexpensive - Edit
I went there on museum night w a friend.
We had the buffet which was 9 euros for the little plate (not that little ) and 12 for the big one.
So we just took one of each and tried every food on the buffet that we did shared.
It was nice and the waitress ( I think it was the owner) was really nice and friendly and did speak perfect English.
It is really well located.
The food was really good but not amazing either .
However it is great to have such a nice and vegan place in dusseldorf.
long life!
Pros: lotss of option, cheap buffet, nice service
