Great International Market with Vegan Options - Edit
Saraga is great to find different than "normal" vegetables, tons of tofu options, vegan ham (!), bulk beans and rice, and other canned meats that you wouldn't find at your typical american grocery store. We've also gotten some delicious vegetable spring rolls and potstickers. If you're squeamish when it comes to meat products or easily upset, I would avoid the back of the store.
I love this place, even though here lately the prices have shot up (in some cases more than 200% higher than what they were pre-pandemic)
It’s still the only place I can find vegan ham (the bacon flavored ham is much better than the veggie flavored ham) and agar agar powder.
As long as you kinda know what you’re looking for, it’s easy af to get a bunch of vegan food.
Best feature is how they have the aisles set up by country/region. It makes shopping almost like going backpacking.
I LOVE international grocery stores. I enjoy finding all the vegan gems offered. Saraga is among one of the few I frequent in the Columbus area, Tensuke and CAM being the two others. My favorite finds are the Colombian arepas, the frescavena, Samyang ramen (kimchi flavored), tteokbokki, the mochi, the momo, samosas, potstickers and buns. All excellent vegan foods! They also have hard to find produce available. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
