Fantastic tiny restaurant - Edit
I'm vegan and gluten-free so this was an amazing find on holiday. My friend is neither, so it was great that both of us were catered for easily. It's a tiny place, with around 10-12 tables, so booking is essential, but you can do this online easily. The menu is limited to 2 sides of A4, but vegan options are clearly marked and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was also very reasonably priced and we paid around 70 euros for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. We'd both definitely go back!

Amazing food - Edit
The starter was amazing, I got the grilled tofu on wakama seaweed and it tasted amazing. Then got a delicious soy sausages dinner with polenta and rosemary garlic sauce. For dessert I ordered the panna cotta, it was amazing and had loads of taste. When you order your drinks they offer water for the table and brought out a small bowl of olives, with your starter they offer you some bread. In total I would recommend the restaurant to most vegans who like this type of food, they also do none vegan options and it's all gluten free.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
I’ve eaten here several times over the years. It’s a pleasant restaurant with some really good vegan options! Tofu on seaweed (starter) is delicious and both gnocchi’s good.
Read moreOnly dish ‘less good’ is vegan tiramisu which is big pile of vegan cream instead of liqueur soaked sponge with a thicker cream. Not actually like tiramisu at all. Other than that all lovely and friendly staff.
PS dry white wine from Lanzarote excellent!
Pros: Starters and mains, Wine, Staff
Cons: Menu changed v little over years, Desserts could defo be improved

Fantastic food, good options - Edit
Clearly labelled vegan dishes and wine list.
Read moreBoth main gnocchi dishes we had were sublime. Really tasty. Could have done with some garlic bread as a side.
The starters were good.
The tiramisu and panne cote desserts were a little strange and too much like stiff jelly.
Must book - small restaurant. Found the service a bit slow. Generally was good though and staff v friendly.
Pros: Tasty mains, Friendly staff
Cons: Small and busy - must book , Desserts Need work

So glad to have found this Little gem - Edit
Lots of different options clearly marked vegan including the wine menu. I had a wonderful 3 course meal with wine confident that everything was vegan. Loved the restaurant and the atmosphere. It was clear that the owner and young lady there really cared about customer's overall experience. Small restaurant so booking is advised

A restaurant that understands (vegan) protein! - Edit
Sanus is such a great restaurant, a bit hidden away from the main street in Corralejo, but definitely worth a visit. Super friendly and helpful host, menu in different languages, and lots of vegan options. We have been here a few times already but keep coming back. I would advise making a reservation in advance as they are booked most of the time.
Read moreAs an athlete I am super happy to have found a restaurant that gives some protein options. We had the grilled tofu with wakame and the rice rolls as starters. As main the buckwheat pasta with spicy tomato sauce and aubergines.

Cons: Reservation needed

Varied menu and tasty food. - Edit
Excellent vegan menu, plenty to choose from and very reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff are very welcoming. It is one of the best places to eat vegan food in Corralejo. I can only give 4 stars as not a fully vegan or vegetarian restaurant. I would have given 5 stars if I could.

Great starters and mains - Edit
All options clearly labelled on the menu and wine clearly marked as vegan or not. The waiter was knowledgeable about what was and wasn’t vegan. Everything was gluten free apart from a couple of gluten containing beer options. We’re not gluten free but the gluten free tasted just like a normal baguette!
Read moreHad a couple of starters and mains - the creamy mushroom gnocchi was amazing. The local wine was also great.
We had a chocolate panacotta for dessert which sadly let the meal down a bit as it just didn’t taste of anything but the starters and mains were great.

Cons: Dessert not great

Very good main dishes - Edit
Slow food concept, nice selection of wines. I had a gnocchi and my husband the polenta. The sausages are from heura. Very nice, I switched with him haha, the pasta wasn't that nice so I recomend trying other mains. Only go with reservation or after 20h.

Good vegan selection - Edit
Ate here twice on a recent holiday. Food was delicious and so nice to have lots of vegan options on the menu (5 ish each of starters and mains). Staff really friendly and good atmosphere. Would like to give it 5 stars, as so few fully veggie/vegan places in Corralejo, it would be good to be able to highlight those that at least give a good few options.

Special place - Edit
We enjoyed the spinach patties and the rice rolls for starters. My husband had the buckwheat pasta with Aubergine and liked it. I had the gnocchi with mushrooms and loved it BUT it was very salty. I like salt, but it was a lot, even for me.

Many vegan options, but I don’t get the raving reviews 🤔 - Edit
The good thing is that there are lots of clearly marked vegan options, quite nice food presentation and the fact that they add proteins to vegan dishes, which is rarely the case in non-vegan places.
Read moreHowever, the food itself? Nothing special. Maybe I got the wrong dishes, but everyone was raving about vegan paella, and… it was the worst of the 3 I tried on the island. It basically tasted like salty rice with vegetables. In the better paellas I tried, the rice was soaked with the tastes of the vegetables it was cooked with, making it delicious and rich. It wasn’t the case here. The good thing about this paella was that it contained various sources of protein (soy, pumpkin seeds and green peas), but taking into account how long it took to cook — over an hour — it should have tasted much better.
The same is true about the rice rolls we had as a starter. They contained tofu and veggies, so they were healthy and nutritious, but the taste didn’t really work.
The tiramisu was okay, but again, nothing special.
I wanted to love the food, but it didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe it would be better on another day, but I won’t be coming back.

Fantastic food and lovely staff - Edit
This restaurant is fully gluten free and around 40-50% of the menu is vegan which was such a nice surprise! I went with my friend who is celiac and thought there would be just a few options but there was so much I struggled to choose and we will be going back. Tasty, fresh food full of flavour and nice wine. Lots of different vegan protein options and not just veggies which I appreciated and friendly staff. We went back again a few days later and it was amazing again! The starters were the best bit, I really recommend the rice paper rolls and the cabbage rolls. I had a chocolate pannacotta the second time which was not very nice because it had very little flavour but other than that everything else was DELICIOUS and I would definitely recommend.

We were very excited to go there after reading the reviews here and upon arriving very glad to have made a reservation, they were fully booked.
Read moreThe service is good and you are directly asks for any allergies and the vegan options are pointed out.
For starters we enjoyed the rice rolls (good) and the spinach balls (great). Also we had complimentary olives and bread.
As main we chose the vegan paella, but the dish was way too salty for us, there was no room for any other taste than salt.
I'd give the other dishes a chance though, based on the starters.
Apart from that we really disliked the clam and fish smell for the neighboring tables.
Pros: Promising menu
Cons: Paella too salty, Clam and fish smell

Super good - Edit
I loved this place, half of the menu is vegan. It is a miracle to find places that offer tofu, tempeh and vegan protein. They also have vegan wines and desserts. Everything was super good and the owner very kind. He also give us a bag where to put the leftovers we couldn't eat (the paella was so big!). Suggested!
