The best vegan tapas you will ever have. - Edit
An all time favourite that will blow your socks off and at a very good price. The calamari will have you asking “is this definitely vegan”.

I enjoyed the pleasant service and good food. A complimentary tapa was brought, while I perused the English-language menu. A midday set meal is offered for EUR 12 (Dec-2023), but I ordered the chickpea burger and a glass of tinto de verano. The burger was good (liberal use of mustard), the bun was good (it was not the gluten-free one), and the accompanying potato wedges with mayo dip were excellent. I finished with a lime-themed dessert-in-a-cup. I hoped to return to try their pizza, but didn’t manage it (wish the kitchen opened earlier than 1 pm).

Great tapas and friendly staff. We enjoyed the vegan fried chicken "Huera Tears" and the cheese sticks. The little appetizer they gave us for free was extremely delicious.

Probamos los nachos, los calamares y la tortilla. A los nachos les falta alguna salsa de queso, los calamares están muy buenos y dan muchísimo el pego y la tortilla es de patata cocida, yo la prefiero siempre de patata frita. El staff muy atento y atienden muy rápido. Quedamos pendiente de probar las hamburguesas y pizzas.

Santa y Pura is a lovely little spot for a meal, a snack, or a drink. We ventured out for Tapapies, an appetizer festival with 100+ participants. Santa y Pura was our final spot and delivered quite a finale. Not eating a full meal is my only regret.

The Tapa was a hard, homemade corn-based cup filled with meat and topped with a white creamy sauce. A hint of spice seasoned the entire dish, reminiscent of many Latin American favorites.
I hope to return to Santa Y Pura for a proper meal. A tapa is no barometer for the quality of an entire restaurant, but it can be an affirmation of a necessary return.

Nice little place with excellent, friendly service. I had the pork sandwich, bread was top notch, pork was the sliced log variety, which was ordinary, but the roasted pepper saved it. Could have used something vinegary to balance it out. Burger was good but messy. Potatoes were more like baked potato wedges than fries. But the calamari omg. So freaking good. Also the snack tapas they brought before the meal was simple and delicious.

Fui a cenar con mi marido y nos gusto todo lo que probamos ( pizza de peperoni, burguer de santa y pura, nachos y los calamares). Todo está súper bien conseguido! Alucinamos con los calamares veganos, por un momento dudamos si eran reales o no! 100% recomendable 😊

He ido ya varias veces y todo lo que hemos pedido estaba riquísimo, especialmente la pizza y los calamares. El precio es estándar para Madrid pero las porciones que ponen son enormes, así que sale bastante económico al final. Merece mucho la pena visitarlo. Hay que reservar con antelación porque siempre está bastante lleno.

- We had patatas bravas - got perfectly fresh and hot cooked potatoes with tasty paprika sauce.
- We had an Entrante Especial (for 2 persons), featuring also fresh and perfectly prepared types of dishes
- We also had burritos which could have been rich and tasteful enough on their own not even mentioning it's fantastic sauces. (We had to take away one of the burritos after all)
The staff is lovely, the place has perfect ethical vegan vibes. A must visit if you are in Madrid!

Al principio no me esperaba que fueran tan creativos con los platillos, la entrada muy deliciosa no alcancé a tomarle foto pues me la comí en cuanto llego jajaj pero la hamburguesa woh tienen que probarla! Tenía un sabor tan delicioso, pedí la santa y pura, lo único que el pan se rompe pero bueno es normal en un pan vegano, muy sabroso todo, hasta mi amigo que no es vegano la probó y quedo asombrado, la atención ni se diga y el lugar muy acogedor como para ir con amigos tranquilo a comer o tomarte unas beers, definitivamente volvemos !!!

Read moreWhile I do not like slandering vegan restaurants as I am extremely appreciative in general of any plant based establishment, I have to say that Santa Y Pura is the best of them that I have tried in Madrid. This of course doesn’t take away from the other places that I went to because many of them were also very good.
The food was delicious, with my highlight being this toasted thing with with some kind of red sauce and cheese. If I could describe it in 3 words they would be: Crunchy, juicy, and WOW. Also my mum got this gazpacho which was refreshing and tasty.
It was reasonably priced and the staff were nice. This is why it gets 5 stars from me

I had to come here because of the tapas and I was not disappointed. The Spanish Omelette was great. I got a free tapas and enjoyed a refreshing yet zesty avocado salad. It was so tasty and the staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Would come back again for more.

The Vegan Calamari - wow, so tasty. The staff, so helpful and friendly. The beer, so cold. The wine, so good. The outdoor seating, so perfect. The price, so reasonable (should be a single $ for sure)! Definitely the best Spanish-style (tapas, paella etc.) Vegan food in Madrid, couldn't praise it more highly!

We ordered take-out from Santa y Pura tonight. The burgers and appetizers were delicious. The order took a little bit of time to prepare, so we received a free tapas and bottle of water while we waited. Friendly staff, good neighborhood, tasty food.

We visited this fabulous restaurant twice on a recent visit to Madrid. The first visit was my first vegan meal in Spain, and it didn't disappoint. The croquetas were amazing. The platter of 'cheeses and meats' was awesome. We didn't try them, but the pizzas looked great. The staff were lovely and attentive. We even bought some community art off the wall. This bar is highly recommended.
