Serves meat, vegan options available. Rustic schoolhouse converted into a lodge with restaurant. The chef has experience with vegetarian and vegan diets, as well as cooking for those with food allergies. No set menu as it varies by season and the requests of customers. Instead of processed soy meats, various legumes and mushrooms are used.

Hearty vegetarian or vegan lunch in rustic atmosphere - Edit
I came here twice with friends for a wonderful vegetarian lunch (reservation required). The chef was experienced with vegetarian, macrobiotic, Halal, and allergy-free cooking and prided herself on her ability to serve healthy home-cooked food to all types of customers. On a cold winter day she served us came up with a wonderful root vegetable stew, fresh-baked bread, a tofu and cheese dish, great salads and more. There is really no other place like this in the area.
Read moreWhen we were well underway with the meal she came by to chat about the food and offered info on how she made the dishes, which ingredients she had grown herself and others she got from friends.
There is also a inn here with simple dormitory-style rooms and free wi-fi.
Pros: Filling, well-spiced food, Cozy atmosphere with lots of wood decor, Good value
Cons: Somewhat inconvenient location
