We had dinner here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary.
Read moreThe staff was extremely friendly and nice. Starting from the young woman that looked like the host, to our waitress Aakirti. She made excellent recommendations on the menu.
The drinks were good, about $18/each. Nothing extra ordinary about them except the delivery for the smoked old fashioned.
The 3 stars is primarily for the staff's service and the ambience of the restaurant.
Food: the Dahi puri appetizer was amazing. We loved it. The main course was below par. We ordered the butter chicken and Laal saag. Laal saag was supposed to be spicy according to the menu but it was barely spicy. The flavors were also not that great.. it was definitely what I call "white-washed" and not authentic.
The dessert was our second favorite item for the night.
What really annoyed me was the automatic 20% gratuity on the check. We were a party of 2. Never ever have I seen a restaurant charge automatic gratuity for a party under 6, and that's typically 18%.
Prices are definitely inflated to meet the "fine dining" level.
The only reason we would go back is for the service, the appetizer, and dessert. Maybe try it out for happy hour, if they have one.
