Very disappointing and upsetting - Edit

First of all, the man who took our order was very pushy and was suggesting the most expensive dishes of the menu.
The food was good but nothing special.
We were very surprised when we had to pay, we were overcharged for the appetizers (we took 2 green rice balls instead of 6, as he advised, and were charged for 6 pieces); before ordering we asked if the rice was included in our meal, he said yes, and on the check it was charged 15.000. Only found out once gone back home.
Also in the scooter parking of the restaurant there is a baby dog attached with a chain, he was very friendly to us but was frightened by his owner, and even more so by a stick the man would threatening him with. Obviously the dog is mistreated. Heartbreaking :'(
Reaaaal bad experience for us, don't recommend it.

Oasis in Hué - Edit

A must go! Top notch dining for reasonably cheap money. As mentioned before they having a hard time speaking English but don't worry the pictures are pretty good in the menu. Try the pineapple mango smoothie its amazing. Fresh Spring Rolls in two variations and some stuff you won't find anywhere else so fast. As I've been there only locals having Dinner there. Pretty Garden and quiet location. It's totally worth to take some time to go there. It's also easy to find because there are many signs leading you from the Main Street to the Restaurant. By the way Free Tea!

Beautiful meal in an even more beautiful setting - Edit

We enjoyed a great and very memorable lunch here with friends on a trip to Hue. The restaurant is in a hand carved ancient house preserved with love and care, set in a carefully cultivated garden. There is a small private pergola in the front and many koi fish swim in the courtyard pond.

The staff were friendly and efficient, the menu was extensive and had many Huê specialties that are sometimes rare to find, all completely vegan. All of the dishes tried were complex in flavour, had taken time and care to make and perfect. As a group of 5, we tried many dishes. Every dish was delicious.

It is one of my best eating experiences in Vietnam and I would thoroughly recommend making a special journey there.

The owner has obviously put love and care into the restaurant and it shows through the decor, staff training and amazing menu.

A wonderful model of a vegan restaurant offered with care, heart and soul

Pros: beautiful historic setting and decor, excellent menu and quality of dishes, a true gem find

Wonderful dinner at this a 100 year old house - Edit

The house was built by a mandarin under Duy Tan emperor's reign about 100 years ago. Truly gorgeous and authentic. Their guava salad is refreshing and the summer rolls are lovely. Hue vegetarian cuisine is know for using little fake meat and plenty of fruits like vả (ficus auriculata) and mít (jackfruit). Hue has a variety of rice papers and many styles of spring rolls as a result. Royal families were usually buhdist and therefore Hue vegetarian dishes are among the highlights of Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine.

a must try while in Hue - Edit

I was in town for a few days with my visitng family, and our first choice for veg food was closed. So we opted for San May as a second choice, and learned that this place should always be everyone's first choice. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet location, surrounded by gardens and fruit trees. The menu has a wide variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, all priced to local standards. The staff was attentive, and great. I've lived in Vietnam for four years now, and thought the food was insanely good. My family, three non-vegetarians visiting from overseas, left thinking this was one of the best restaurants they'd been to on their trip. We were all satisfied and full at the end of the meal, and our bill didn't exceed $15 (for four people!). Incredible. Some favorites were the fresh spring rolls, Bun Thai (vermicelli soup with Thai spices) Bun Thit Nuong (vermicelli dry with fresh herbs, grilled mock meat and fried spring rolls) and Bun Rieu (vermicelli in tomato based soup).

Pros: Food, Atmospher, Price

Imperial style gem in the north of city - Edit

We had a late lunch here. The atmosphere and the furniture of this restaurant are very beautiful.
There is no English menue, but there is a picture for each dish and the owner speaks English.
We paid about 170 k (~ 8 $) for 4 delicious dishes. Except for the smoothies and yoghurt, everything seems to be vegan.

Pros: Delicious food, Peaceful and relaxing environment, Friendly staff

Cons: A little hard to find
