Friendly Low-key Farmers’ Market - Edit
Update:
Read moreCame an hour before shutdown, folks still friendly! I confirmed the Kettlepop is vegan friendly (no butter), triple check about the sugar though*. They were on their last fresh batch around 12PM. I scored three baskets of organic strawberries for $15 and naval oranges (4) for $10 ($3/lb). I know farming isn’t easy so I appreciate it, but definitely noticed the price increase!
Original Review:
Kindly note it is not all vegan, as they offer fresh eggs, fish, and chicken for purchase.
The produce stands were cute and you’d definitely find varying prices on produce so don’t commit right away! I saw organic strawberries ranging from 3 baskets/$10 to 1 basket/$5.
They had a cute flower stand at $4 a bouquet - I got here before it really got going (before 9AM) so I feel like I need to come back to check it out when it is in full swing, since many stands were barely setting up I didn’t get to see all the offerings. Photos forthcoming!

Pros: Lots of fresh and yummy looking produce, Lovely succulent and flower stands, Friendly folks
Cons: Not fully vegan (i.e., sells more than produce), Spendy (it could be the economy)

Cozy Neighborhood Market - Edit
Absolutely love the vibe of a good local farmer's market especially one that is by my parent's house. Whenever I visit home on the occasional weekend, I always pass by this market on my way to Bayfair and only recently got a chance to experience it for myself. Simply put - one of the best!
Read moreThe market is situated in the parking lot close to the Starbucks. It's split off into two sections: one with a massive amount of produce, and the other featuring food carts and homemade goods like ceramics, lotions, candles, etc. All of the greens here looked fresh and there was an abundance of options. I especially loved seeing the variety of mushrooms available that you'd not often find in large markets.
Note: most of the stalls prefer cash but some will allow Apple or Google Pay/cards if you meet their minimum.
They also had a musical performance taking place during my walk around. It's so nice to get some good local vibes from a market especially during these trying times. Very family friendly and and everyone was masked up as far as I could tell. If you haven't already, you must give this spot a try.
Pros: Affordable produce, flowers, etc. for purchase
Cons: Not fully vegan
