OK but not the best - Edit
Vegan ramen are /- ¥400 more than meat ramen, but they dont even contain a source of protein like tofu… at least the spicy miso one not. The ramen was very nice but for that price I really would like some protein. the gyoza were nice too. and it’s nice to go eat here with non vegan friends

Best vegan ramen in Tokyo - Edit
This was my favourite vegan ramen I had in Tokyo. Great location and big portion in a small and traditional restaurant. It was easy to order outside from the kiosk in English and other languages with vegan food clearly marked. Gluten free food also available.

Really wonderful place, with many veg options. You can order and pay at the entrance. The ramen tastes like grilled, and it was delicious. Also the vegan Gyoza are great. Many of these plates are also gluten free

Lovely spot… at a price - Edit
Admittedly, the ramen is very very tasty, and delivered in a heartbeat, but at a price of 1.5k as opposed to the 900 yen for the same one WITH meat, it was a bit of a heartbreaker. Also, the ramen didnt have any meat replacement, which was a bit of a shame. Regardless, i enjoyed the place a lot, the vibe and the service. So, i recommend!

Okay Ramen - Edit
Ramen were okay, but nothing special. There are better restaurants in Tokyo and my stomache hurt a little afterwards. Also the price difference between the vegan and the meat Ramen is too big.

Very convenient - Edit
With so few options for vegans in Shibuya past 10pm, this place was extremely convenient. Ordering is done via a vending machine with an English language option. VEGAN options are all clearly labeled with a variety of vegan options. The taste was ok - nothing crazy.

Late-Night Godsend - Edit
We were running around Shibuya, struggling to find vegetarian-friendly dinner options at 9.30 pm at night. We looked up HC & found Shimbu Sakiya ramen. Though we initially struggled to find it - we let out a huge sigh of relief when we finally did. Ordering was all on a screen outside the restaurant - there is was 1 vegan ramen option & 1 vegetarian ramen option. I selected the vegetarian ramen option & vegetarian gyoza. Drink options were limited and not too exciting, especially if you don't want to drink alcohol. Once ordered though, the difficulty was getting the machine to accept our credit cards - after 4 repeated attempts to pay & having to restart the order, we paid in cash. So good idea to keep sufficient cash on you.
Read moreOnce ordered, ramen came out within 10 minutes of ordering - perfect for the hungry vegetarian after meal-hunting. The Ramen was lovely to look at and even better to eat. For those who are partial to smokey flavours, you will be smitten by this ramen -- it was smokey, umami deliciousness. The vege dumplings were beautifully pan-fried on the outside but the filling was packed too tight for my liking.
The restaurant had some thoughtful touches - the table had packets with hair ties to keep nasty hairs from floating into your soup, a water filling station & good condiments to add to the ramen.
All in all a great late-night find for a vegetarian/vegan.

Good and quick - Edit
If you are hungry and in shibuya and looking for a quick ramen, this is the place. I tried the Soja sauce based ramen and it was okay, nothing special about it. My friend tried the miso based and liked it a lot.

A somewhat smaller classic Japanese ramen store with several vegan ramen dishes. The order was placed via a vending machine in front of the store. The gluten-free noodles were good, the normal ones very good

My regular spot - Edit
I stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Flavorful, rich, filling shoyu/shio/miso/spicy options for vegan ramen (though I'm not a huge fan of their menma). I think shio is my favorite — always need to add spice to the spicy ramen. I haven't had any bad service personally.

Ramen was okay, but the service… - Edit
The ramen was okay, nothing special but still enjoyable. What has been really disappointing was the service, the lady who takes the order was really really rude, something quite hard to find in Japan, I would have look for another place If I weren’t very hungry.

Excellent fast ramen place - Edit
I went here twice while staying in Shibuya. I had the miso spicy vegan ramen and the salt ramen. Both were good but the salt one was a bit better, and then I added spice. The gyoza was good as well ( and gluten free I believe) . I would recommend it if you are looking for a fast great tasting ramen.

Amazing food! - Edit
Hokkaido sapporo noodle shinbusakiya - a quiet little place that serves amazing ramen! We had the misu ramen with a side of gyoza, a must visit for vegans! I got the medium spicy, which was fine, but my husband got the spicy ramen, beware, as an Indian he wasn’t able to handle the spice, but managed to finish it nonetheless!
