The food was amazing and 100% vegan. I went with two other people and everyone ordered something different, which meant I got to try a good variety of the menu. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Anyone would enjoy this food, not just vegans. If you are vegan and looking for a good place to eat, stop here! Don't continue on to Bowling Green or you will be backtracking to here! The owner was really super too and great to have a conversation with.
Samgha is less like eating at a restaurant and more like eating at a friend's house. We caught Bob right at closing time, but he unhesitatingly welcomed us in, prepared us a homemade meal, and invited us to stay for coffee and dessert. He's a good soul, a fun conversationalist, and inspiring to be around. The atmosphere was laid back and uplifting, and the food was excellent. If we're ever passing through Kentucky again, we'll go far out of our way to visit again.
Quaint vegan cafe in historic bank building - Edit
We stopped in Smiths Grove for the antique shops and were quite surprised to find a 100% vegan restaurant in a restored historic bank building with a beautiful, secluded backyard to enjoy lunch. Soups, wraps, salads, desserts, tea and coffee are available, and the owner is a delight. Love that we didn't have to question anything on the menu! Worth the stop.
