We were in Tenerife and planned to try a vegan restaurant, so we find Samelo in Abades.

Both was delicious:)
We tried the green smoothie also, and it was great!
But I think all the food tasty because the owners cooking from heart:)And thats's the point.Thank you again.

We went for a bite after we went swimming in Abades. We had the "plata degustacion" for three people and it was plenty and very delicious! We got lentils with potatoes, homemade cheese (from oat-yoghurt and corn flour) with tomatoes, zoodles with goji and tomato, eggplant gratin, bread with homemade spread, grilled seitan, tofu strips and bell pepper and fries with homemade ketchup and mayonnaise.

Everything was freshly made and really, really delicious. The best food in Teneriffe so far! The menu changes daily so there is only a Spanish menu. However, the staff is very nice and explains everything if you don't speak Spanish. The kitchen is open so you can watch your food being prepared and you are encuraged to ask the chef about ingredients and preparation.
Pros: Best cheese ever, everything is homemade, very nice staff, healthy, low fat

Super! We're drinking batido de áloe vera and juice with all sorts of nice ingredients... and in the colours of the rainbow, almost! Very nice people; by the sea... All vegan; what more can one wish for?

New Vegan Restaurant in Tenerife - Edit
Really nice, new vegan restaurant, run by an italian couple in Abades, south of Tenerife, Canarian Islands, Spain. They just opened in December 2015. The restaurant is really close by the beach, so perfect to visit after a swim in the ocean. The staff is super friendly and always tries to make you happy and feel comfortable. They also are very flexible if you have any allergies (gluten free). They have a small but weekly and seasonal changing menu. Easiest way to see what’s going on, is to check out their Facebook site. They also offer home made bread, muffins, cakes, juices and shakes. Almost all products are organic or come directly from the island. They also collaborate together with a local organic food network (http://avacanaria.org/) and distribute the products - self made organic beer and apple juice for example.
