Probably my new favorite in Beijing

I was really impressed with Samadhi. Lots of interesting creations, not the standard fare at all. Eg, corn, white fungus & pinenut salad, served in an edible spoon.
The place is fairly classy, and the overall standard of food was very high.
There are no mock meats, its all vegies and tofu based.
Expect to pay about 150-200 per person for a complete meal, although it would be possible to skimp and pay less.
Definitely worth a visit, and deserves more attention than what it has received on Happy Cow so far.

Pros: Unique Food, No Mock meat, good value

So I went back there tonight. It was still good, but nowhere near as good as last time. I dont know whether we ordered the wrong things this time, or whether somthing has changed.

Beautiful place and good food

Samadhi Vegetarian Teahouse is located at the second floor of a buildin, which is very close to the SOS international clinic of Beijing (close to Liangma river). Restaurant is beautiful and peaceful. Food is not the cheapest in Beijing, but it's very good. Sometimes all the dishes and drinks listed on the menu are not available, but the menu is extensive.
