Great for breakfast too! Many fresh smoothies (can sub soy milk for yogurt), delicious blueberry banana granola oatmeal or fruit plate, good coffee drinks, several salads including Asian dressings and fresh veggies etc. very popular place, lovely outdoor seating, has an expat vibe.

Fantastic place to eat - Edit
We had a lovely lunch here, two vegetarians and one veggie- positive individual. We had two variations of the house special bean burger, one with a fantastic green chili treatment, and both with fresh side salads. The Mediterranean Chicken salad /bowl looked colorful and not offensively chicken-y. It was reportedly flavorful with feta and freshness. The 'frutas de Jalisco ' drink was excellent and you could really taste the guava.

Big thumbs up.?? - Edit
As a mostly vegetarian family, we had a delicious lunch here. The menu is already marked for veg and vegan options and they are wholesome and yummy. Smoothies were a hit with the kids. Fresh OJ was yum. Coffee is ok too.

The best gluten free muffin I've had - Edit
I have eaten at Salud several times and each time I am just as happy as can be at the flavor and quality of the food. It is a very healthy menu and you can tell that the chefs are thinking about the flavors as well as the healthiness of each dish they imagine. The smoothies are delicious and the wraps hit the spot. Breakfast there is also great and they have a selection of dessert treats that are gluten free or stevia sweetened and certainly less indulgent than a standard dessert but with all the flavor and pleasure one would want. I recommend this place regardless if you like healthy food as it is just delicious food that happens to be healthy... enjoy!

Great Little Restaurant - Edit
I had lunch here while in Puerto Vallarta recently (April 2013. I had a very tasty quinoa bowl which was made vegan for me. The restaurant is small and informal and has a sidewalk patio area, which is where I ate. I chatted with the very friendly American-born owner. There are many very good restaurants in PV, but few offer much in the way of vegetarian let alone vegan offerings. This is one of the oases in the desert.

Delicious - Edit
I'd give this place 5 stars if I could (Happy Cow won't let you give more than four stars to a restaurant that isn't fully vegetarian). The majority of their menu items are already lacto-ovo-vegetarian, or can easily be modified as such. All of the wraps I tried on different occasions (salud, griego, cali, etc) and the veggie burger special they had one time were delicious. As far as smoothies go, the Bahia de Banderas and the Moca Loca were both excellent. Even my gluten-free vegan girlfriend had no problem finding a few great options there. Just let the staff know what your restrictions are (they are very helpful and speak flawless English as well as Spanish).

Cons: not fully vegetarian, a little hard to find the first time, there isn't one closer to me

Delicious - Edit
The food here is delicious. Most of the sauces are made in-house, and the owners (Wally and Rita) know the ingredients and can accommodate and recommend for various preferences. There are a lot of vegetarian options, though this is not a vegetarian restaurant. Unlike some other places in Vallarta that boast vegetarian menus (but really have chicken stock), there are many items that can be made into wraps or bowls that are truly vegetarian. The bowls are many with quinoa for a hearty and protein-packed-punch. The wraps are not gluten-free, but are scrumptious.
