Refreshing experience in Cuzco! - Edit
My girlfriend and I walked into this gem almost by accident (don’t be discouraged by the street that looks under siege!). While we both enjoy meat and fish, we were really delighted to discover the beautiful, creative vegan menu. We’ve had a delicious onion soup with vegan cheese, delicious artichokes with a mouthwatering salad and very nice truffles for dessert. I don’t know if the owner is able to achieve such level of freshness everyday, but our artichokes had only been picked the day before!
The owner and the waitress were both extremely nice and helpful. Even better: the menu was ridiculously cheap (12 soles as of Jan 2017).
Definitely the place you need to go in Cusco if you want a refreshing culinary experience or a break from the regular Peruvian food you’ll enjoy during your trip.
Pros: Delicious, fresh menu, Very affordable, Quiet
Cons: Some missing items on menu (but we arrived late)

Great raw /healthy/glutenfree food - Edit
I was impressed by the quality of the food here for the really fair price. I had the super salad consisting of sprouted lentils and chickpeas, fermented cabbage, carrots, and two different homemade cheeses. One I couldn't quite identify, and an amazing cashew cheese fermented with quinoa rejuvelac. For desert I had the cranberry cheesecake. Small but so tasty!
Everything was glutenfree.
If you are really starving you might want to go elsewhere because the portions are medium-sized (satisfying for moderate apetite).
Pros: Top quality products and healthy (and glutenfree), Tasty and made with a lot of care and skill, Fair price
Cons: Medium to small portions

A new favourite - Edit
Having tried most if not all of the vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Cusco over the last two years I can happily say that Salud De Luz is one of the best!
At only 12 soles for the three course menu it is great value for money.
I had a choice of two lovely homemade soups, followed by two mains, a hot dish or a super salad (I had the hot dish - red quinoa primavera. Delicious!) and then a choice of nine desserts! (the toughest decision I have needed to make in a long time! They all sounded great!)
The restaurant is welcoming and peaceful with a pretty courtyard.
The staff are also happy, very welcoming and friendly.
I left with a full and happy tummy and look forward to my next visit.
A little harder to find than some of the other restaurants, but please make the effort - you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Great value for money, Friendly service, Very clean restrooms
Cons: Not open at the weekend

Wonderful! - Edit
Salud de Luz offers the whole package: delicious and salubrious food, cooked with care, served with a smile in a charming and peaceful atmosphere, all for a surprisingly low price.
Today there was a choice of soups (I had the leek and baby turnip, which was delicious), followed by a main course featuring a very satisfying avocado salad with veggies, topped off with a choice of three desserts.
As the previous reviewer said, the courtyard is very pleasant and tranquil, and there are four tables inside as well.
Bonus points for two very nice and clean restrooms.
Highly recommended.
Enjoy!

Delicious food, friendly service - Edit
I have been here a couple of times for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed it!
The proprietor is a friendly lady from Miami, and she has employed very friendly local staff.
For 12 soles (as of Sep '16), for lunch I got: a hot pineapple juice, a delicious soup (one time it was beetroot and cashew, the next cheesy potato), a super salad (loads of fresh carrot, onion, cabbage, chickpeas, and thins with delicious dips/houmous on them as well as other ingredients I can't remember right now), a tiny but tasty pudding and unlimited water.
The courtyard is one of the most peaceful places I have been in Cusco. It is also very pretty.
On both occasions I have visited, I felt full and refreshed and I think it is great value for money.
Highly recommended.
Pros: Friendly service, Great value for money, Lovely courtyard
Cons: A bit out of the way
