The Salt Cafe had a few options for vegans. I had the Avocado on toast, which was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and nice location. We had a nice window seat with a view.

Hidden gem

If you've never visited this place, it's well worth the visit. Fantastic breakfast menu, great view, great staff, great food, great service, great decor. Can get very busy no matter what day of the week it is but particularly at weekends however within a few minutes you can normally get a table. Outside tables also available too and dogs also allowed inside.

Pros: Lovely venue, Dog friendly , Free parking

Cons: Can get very busy, Probably need to drive unless live locally

Best setting for a light lunch lunch

This is such a lovely place to visit and a good walk from Portchester castle. Been eating here for years and always enjoy it. Pleased when they added a dedicated vegan section to the menu. Other items from the main menu can be made vegetarian by request and staff always accommodating of this.
Also been to some of their vegan special event nights which are quite expensive but more ‘fine dining’.
The cafe menu is in the full pictures and I think reasonably priced.
They also sell lots of cakes not shown on menu, but only one vegan flapjack option last time I was there.

Pros: Sitting outside in summer by the sea, Food is always good

Cons: Not totally vegan, Full on a nice day, Small cafe, kitchen and menu with limited choices
