salt & pepper - Edit
4 of us went in January and the only one who liked their food was a non vegan order. We had reservations, it took over an hour to get our food and it was bland and lukewarm. I had the loco moco. I know they are trying and have had a lot of poor reviews on Oahu vegans Facebook page. Hopefully they get it together. I wanted to like them so badly.

Great breakfast - Edit
Was recently in Oahu for vacation and my husband and I ate at salt and pepper twice during our week stay for breakfast! The loco moco was amazing! Also had their “chicken” and waffles. So wish there was something like this offered in my home town!

brunch - Edit
I was extremely impressed by the amount of items on the vegan menu. Maybe if you order the right things, this would be a great place to go with non-vegans. But the biscuits and gravy I tried tasted like the chef has never seasoned food in their life. I'm not exaggerating when I say this mushroom gravy had no flavor. The biscuits and tofu scramble were incredibly bland as well. It was like eating nothing. My friend got a good acai bowl, but you can get acai bowls anywhere in this town.

Full Vegan Menu - Edit
Their menu has 2 sides, one is fully vegan, the other is the non-vegan. It had been open for only 2 weeks when we visited before leaving for the airport. I wish we found it earlier -- we would have visited multiple times.
Read moreI had the Aina Moco Loco, which was fantastic, though it was huge -- they could cut down on the portion size on that one. The gravy was made with mushrooms and Maui onions, and made the dish. I believe it was on brown-rice. It was sprinkled with some microgreens.
My wife had the Berry Pancackes, which were large, and had plenty of blueberries and strawberries. My daughter ordered the French Toast, which she enjoyed, but my wife and I thought was a bit heavy -- I think it may have been deep-fried.
Pros: Near Ala Moana shopping center, Large vegan menu

Lots of Vegan and Veggie options - Edit
The best part (aside from being delicious) was the huge specifically vegan menu options. One whole side of the menu. Perfect for meeting anyone's dietary preferences.
