Serves meat, vegan options available. Pub and restaurant. Menu includes a vegan pie and will accommodate further vegan requests when you ask. Open Mon-Sun 09:30-22:30.
I used to eat here a lot and there was a list of vegan options in the diary on the bar which most of the staff were unaware of. Then one vegan option appeared on the menu, the chickpea pie, it came with coleslaw, always being cautious I asked if the coleslaw was vegan, it wasn’t, I was then told that I hadn’t stated that I was vegan, despite the fact that it was a “vegan” meal!! Alas the pie is very dry and last time I ate there no other vegan options were available. I hope they improve their game!
The staff went above and beyond today on my visit and were super friendly and accommodating.
They have one vegan option on the menu which looks super tasty but can’t come with chips (fried with meat / fish) however, the chef ended up coming out to chat and the oil had just been changed so I was able to have the veggie burger instead with chips (only reason that isn’t vegan is the fryers too).
Now I can try the chickpea pie on my next visit!
Fingers crossed a few more vegan options go on the menu soon.
I went to this pub with high expectations. But they didn't know what I could eat and the vegetable fajitas I ordered didn't came as I explained to them so I had to return the food and explain again. My non vegan friends were not impressed with the food either. And expensive to the food quality.
If you are Vegan don't go to this pub.
We had a fajita with rice and guacamole which was nice and good portion. We also had the hot salad which was ok. It was some cooked stir fried veggies on a bed of lettuce.
They have about 5 vegan options, though not labeled, the bar tender told us,
Soup of the day
Veg Pie
Fajita with rice Guacamole
Hot salad
Jacket potatoes with beans.
