Vegan destination!

We had so much fun and felt so welcome here from the moment we walked in the door of this vegan paradise minutes from lovely Bethany beach. I envy the owners' lives as they have made their dreams come true in their adopted community. The meals were multi-course with both sweet and savory and kept us filled until dinner, so creative and beautifully presented. We got great advice on where to go and took all of it with excellent results. It would be amazing to visit in every season and to come to Michelle's cooking classes. If you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of the pups, which are kept away from visitor areas. The house was designed by the owners for entertaining and relaxing. I want to look in the greenhouse next time and try the pool. This is an amazing place you should put on your life list for compassionate luxury in a superfriendly environment. Just amazing. PS -- I hope you get to taste the deviled eggs!

Add this to your bucket list

All right vegans, here's a place to put on your bucket list of vegan experiences.

What's not to love about this place? The innkeepers are incredibly hospitable. And they're knowledgeable about what there is to do locally, including recommending the restaurants with the best vegan options. And the breakfasts are outstanding. Michele recently released a recipe book specializing in egg substitute recipes and all of her food is amazing. She put so much effort into giving us memorable three-course breakfasts.

There are two rooms. We stayed in the Bailey Room which has bright large windows that look out into the courtyard pool area. The furnishings in the room contained some really cool Old World European charm. There's also a large comfortable common area to hang out in as well as some chill out chairs and sofas outdoors and a pool.

The location is ideal if you want to explore the Delaware beaches. There's lots to do nearby. Bethany Beach was our favorite, but Lewes and Rehoboth Beach are also really nice. So is Berlin, Maryland, a quaint small town where the movie Runaway Bride was filmed. And there's also Assateague Island where we saw wild horses which is something we'll always remember.

Full-fledged vegan bed and breakfasts are rare. There are many non-vegan B&Bs that say they'll accommodate vegans. But the quality of the food really varies. So we try to go to vegan bed and breakfasts whenever we can and often base our travel plans around them. And this is one of the very best!
