Incredibly delicious vegan Thai food - Edit
Some of the best vegan Thai food in LA. I've had the basil chicken, the kho mun gai, and the kho mok gai, all excellent. The mango sticky rice is great too.

Good but expensive - Edit
Tried the green curry and the papaya salad. Both were good but expensive, and the curry didn’t even come with rice or noodles.

New Sushi Menu - Edit
Just when I thought Salaya cannot get any better, they introduce Japanese entrees including the tastiest sushi rolls. I ordered the Fireworks Roll and I do not recall stopping for air. I have been to almost every vegan restaurant in LA and Salaya is in my top 3. I love their curries, noodle and protein entrees. Chicken Larb Salad and Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna are so good I will order again. I also liked Dynamite Shrimp Roll and Atlantic Roll. Lots of great options! Bon appetit!

I’d give this place another chance - Edit
The menu looked promising but what I ordered (orange chicken) was too sweet and I couldn’t finish it. Also the description claimed it came with rice and they charged me for it separately. I’d still give this place another try.

Delicious - Edit
Went to Salaya for the first time and everything we had was delicious. We tried the Thai tea, crispy spring rolls, poke bowl, and kho mun gai. The garlic rice with the kho mun gai was addicting. Their sweet and sour sauce has a nice kick to it. Poke bowl had a nice variety of toppings and sauces. They have a big menu that includes a sushi section that looks yummy. Will definitely be coming back.

Will definitely be back! - Edit
Stopped by here with some out-of-town friends after visiting the Walk of Fame. Shared the Seaweed Quinoa Rolls, which were excellent, and the Thai Jerk Wings, which were also excellent! I had the Blazing Chicken for my entree and it was very flavorful and tasty. It was the first time I had ever had young pepper corns and it took me a while to figure out what they were.

Take Me Back - Edit
I found Salaya on a happy accident waiting for a delayed show. Completely plant-based menu with multiple mylk options for beverages, full of traditional Thai and fusion recipes, it’s easy to make any vegan happy. I was in a hurry and tried the Beyond Pies, happily surprised with 3 hand sized crispy delights and a dipping sauce I had no shame on using up completely. I also ordered a Thai tea for my sweet tooth. Relaxing atmosphere while I waited and the door was constantly rotating with take out orders which I think is an excellent sign. I am trying to go back to try their traditional items and I have a really good feeling I won’t be disappointed!

Delicious!! - Edit
Went here on my visit to LA, I ordered the crispy tofu and the orange chicken and oh my goodness they were both AMAZING. The orange chicken was probably one of the best vegan things I have eaten in my entire vegan journey! The tofu was great as well! They also had a few outdoor tables, which the lady working there was nice enough to pull over a sun umbrella for me, she was super nice! Only downside is the price, but honestly it was all worth it for that orange chicken...

Went again on our most recent visit to LA and it was just as good as I remember!! Also their menu has gotten much bigger! I ended up with the Pad Thai and BF got Beef Pho, and we shared some steamed dumplings! Everything was very tasty!!

Great Thai Food - Edit
This place is fully vegan and has a large menu of both Thai food and other types of food.
Read moreThey did the Thai food so well. The green thai curry was particularly delicious and very authentic!
The quinoa Seaweed Rolls are interesting concept but currently deep fried and it makes the seaweed flavour overpowering.
A little bit of attention to the ambiance and service could elavate this place into more of a destination.
Definitely worth a visit!

Loads of options, perhaps too many - Edit
The menu was EXTENSIVE which is fab when vegans typically have less choice… but that being said, the fusion menu felt unnecessary and the Thai menu had so many options it was overwhelming.
Read moreOverall we loved the food - call outs are the Green Curry is lighter and super tasty, the food is a little salty and the Quinoa Seaweed Rolls were really uneventful.
The dumplings were amazing and so were the corn cakes!
I’d definitely get the Orange Chicken next time.

Cons: Dishes were overall expensive, Too many options was overwhelming

Fantastic - Edit
Entirely vegan Thai place that is always a great choice. Been numerous times and everything is always tasty but their fish curry comes about as close to the taste of real fish that I’ve tried since giving up the real thing. This isn’t just a great vegan restaurant in Thai town, it’s a great Thai restaurant - period. Highly recommend!!

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF ALL TIME - Edit
I LOVE LOVE this place. The flavors are perfectly balanced and consistent in every bite. I love that out of most of the restaurants in Thai Town (meat restaurants!!), Salaya has the MOST regionally diverse menu. I get to sample dishes from all over Thailand that aren't even available at other restaurants nearby. You will not be disappointed. SALAYA4EVER💗

My favorite LA restaurant - Edit
Wow, my new favorite restaurant in LA. The food was delicious and presented like art. The portions were generous and price is inexpensive. We ate dinner and went back for lunch. All the help were sweet. The owner was generous to treat us an appetizer (larb) and dessert (crème brûlée). We are definitely going back when we are in LA.

Salaya Slayin It! - Edit
Incredible Thai stop. Big menu. Had the green curry and the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Broccoli and an order of the shoestring fries. The kitchen was immaculate, the dining room bright and pristine. Service was awesome and lightening fast. The food was out of this world delicious. After four months in Thailand I was very satisfied with my dinner here.

Very flavorful food, and very nice people - Edit
Salaya is a cut above the Thai/vegan places in the area. Their green curry fried rice is especially flavorful with a fresh taste. Some interesting and tasty Western dishes on the menu as well, such as a "meat" pie. Most items can be made GF (using GF soy sauce) and they are very conscientious about getting your order right. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, with (usually) easy parking in front.

Best Vegan Thai food omg - Edit
Consistently outstanding vegan Thai food from woman owned restaurant. 100% plantbased menu with delectable mock meats like vegan chicken and vegan beef. Menu highlights for me are Buffalo wings (they include a little bamboo “bone”, so tasty and tender, better than real chicken wings IMO) Pad Kee Mao with Vegan Chicken, Pad See Ew with Vegan Beef. Egg rolls are also good. The wonton soup was a little bland compared to my homemade, but I enjoyed it. I love that they include lots of fresh crisp green veggies with all the entrees. We order from here for delivery (Grubhub/ DoorDash) and the food always arrives piping hot and packaged well. Good sized portions. When we have picked up in person, The location for indoor dining is cute, clean and modern with parking out front. Can’t wait to try more menu items
