Serves meat, vegan options available. A salad bar restaurant. Build-your-own salad and pay by weight. Also offers daily soups. Previously named The Salad Spot. Reported closed March 2025.
The Salad Spot is a great place for fresh salads and great soups. They have a huge variety on their build-your-own salad bar and they always offer 6-8 soups that they make in-house every day. The owners, Alejandro and Krisztina (husband and wife) are very friendly and 100% focused on pleasing their customers. For example, I asked Alejandro to make one of his vegan soups without oil. He made vegan split pea soup and vegan lentil soup with no oil and has it available every day. I asked him to carry sunflower sprouts and sprouted beans. He now has both. The owners and staff are extremely accommodating.
You can also get any salad put into a wrap . They offer 4 or 5 different types of wraps, including a gluten-free option.
You pay by weight, but it's much cheaper per pound than Whole Foods and other comparable places.
Try Salad Spot. You'll become a regular like I have.
I came to eat here when I worked in the area. The way this works is you can build your own salad, wrap or tacos. After you are done you bring your food to the register where it is weighed and that is how you are charged.
I have eaten here a few times. Some of the times I had a wrap. With a wrap you select everything you want from the salad bar and then bring it to the kitchen area. Behind that door someone comes out and asks what kind of wrap you want. They take your tray and chop up your ingredients and give it back to you as a sandwich.
This place is good for non meat eaters and meat eaters. They also have tofu!
