Vegan Cakes and Sandwiches - Edit
Vegan cafe serving cakes and sandwiches, near Nordbahnhof Station and Berlin Wall Memorial. Pleasant vibes and enjoyable strawberry ‘cheesecake’; I had a nice time here a month ago when travelling in Berlin. Unfortunately I found out that this eatery has just closed down 3 weeks ago due to the owner’s personal reasons; not sure if the eatery taking over is also plant-based / if the owner will be having upcoming vegan projects!

A very good morning - Edit
This gem was just 5 minutes from my hotel and I'm already planning to come every morning until I leave. The croissant was incredible, second only to the homemade blueberry jam. Apple scone? Delightful. Blueberry banana bread? A triumph. Gorgeous vibes and the nicest human behind the till.

Small menu, cozy space - Edit
The menu at Sakura is a bit limited but the space is cute and staff is kind. We had the tempeh sandwich and the scone, both were alright, our coffees were quite nice. The sandwich was €6.50. It could have been nice if the scone had been served warm, maybe with a spread. They use oatly for the coffees.

Very tasty though expensive - Edit
They have some tasty and interesting vegan cakes and drinks, in the summer I enjoyed the iced coffee especially.
Read moreThey are also participating in "Too good to go", so if you're lucky you can save food from them for under 5eur which for me contained two pieces of cake and a cookie which usually would be twice or more the price.

Cute - Edit
Adorable little Japanese influenced vegan bakery on a mostly residential street. I got there at 9am on a Sunday, but they didn’t have any tempeh sandos ready. So I settled for a pain d’epi with bacon for my savory option. Since I was going to be walking around, I ordered the chocolate cake with yuzu for my sweet option since the other cakes looked less likely to survive. (FYI, they charge an extra 10% for food items if you dine in.) I had a matcha latte onsite, and it really hit the spot. I loved seeing their anti-nondairy milk tax materials!

Cozy and tasteful - Edit
Good drinks and sweet treats (for yet another study session).
Read moreWe were glad that one of the pastries was half the price it would usually be - would not have purchased it if it were the full price to be completely honest.
Good coffee, not ground breaking but good nevertheless.
Yuzu chocolate cake was on the drier side, but taste wise - great.
Would definitely go again to try other things as it was a very peaceful cafe spot.

I’ve been coming here for years and every single item is delicious. The best matcha lattes, amazing coffee, and their bakery items are always changing and always very tasty. Pair this with friendly staff and a cozy café space and it’s a must-visit. And 100% vegan!

One of the best matcha lattes I’ve ever had! I tried the quiche here as well. It was pretty unique—it had smoked tofu with edamame. I enjoyed it! My partner got some cake here and said it was delicious.
