I read the reviews about the queues but I was lucky enough to arrive when there wasn’t one. Everything here is plant based and it all looks amazing. I had and almond latte and a yuzu and lemon cruffin and it was incredible. Really a must visit place to treat yourself.

Latte machiato and pistachio cruffin 👌👌👌👌👌👌 I also tried the rhubarb cruffin and the taste is not quite there but it was OK. The fact that there is a fully plantbased place like this in the canal belt, is mind blowing. I’d been walking around Jordaan without knowing St Jean was even there. Now I keep returning!
Read moreI would love to visit this place even more if it had a better location with seating, because of the Nordermarkt market being just outside and the place being small, I had to walk a long way around the canals until I found an empty patch of anything where I could sit down to drink my coffee and eat my cruffin.
There’s also a place called Margo’s close by, so when you’re done with your veggie groceries from Nordermarkt, you have several coffee options around the corner!
Pros: Everything is vegan, Finally something more artisan

There's a reason the lines outside of Saint-Jean are always so long. The croissants, cruffins, and kouign amann are out of this world. There's no way you'd be able to tell they're vegan. Love that there are so many pistachio options.

Is it pricy? Yes, but you get so much value for your money here.

This is the place I tell everyone to go to as soon as they mention visiting Amsterdam. The cue that forms in front of it is just a hint at how amazing this spot is. The pastries are flaky and dreamy and the interior design is swoon-worthy. If I had to choose a favorite, it might be the pistachio cruffin. But everything is amazing, so no worries if there are different choices on your day.

The exact addition Amsterdam needed. Damn good food, fairly cheap in my opinion for the quality of food. Highly recommend trying a cruffin. Drinks were only so-so (matcha and hot chocolate)
