Decadent pastries, light and tasty, my favorites were the croissants. It was a cold day so our pastries was served cold, but it would have perfect if they were served warm! We visited on Dec 5th, 2022.

There was a small queue for the shop but it was so worth it. The shop itself was well stocked and the staff were polite and friendly. I got a pistachio cruffin and I can honestly say it was the best pastry I've ever eaten. Coffee was great too. 100% recommend.

This was the number one must-try on my list, so when we saw the long waiting line outside, we didn't hesitate and joined the line. We couldn't choose, so we ended up buying so many pastries and cappuccino's as well. We took them with us to enjoy right next to the water in the sun, and boy: their pistachio & almond croissant is really on another level. The rest was good, but that's the one thing you must absolutely try. Also great coffee!

As a French person you can doubt new types of croissant but the pistachio cruffin is worth the hype. The texture is crunchy and soft on the inside with the pistachio butter melting on you tongue and bringing a rich flavor. The sugar level is also perfect.

I was so excited to try this place. I have wanted to try a Cruffin but never thought I’d be able to as I’m vegan. But here I was able to try the pistachio cruffin and it was heavenly. I would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam to try this place. It has a small seating area so you have to be quite lucky to get a seat. At peak times on the weekend there can be a queue. I went on Monday at 3pm and it was lovely and quiet though. They have a great selection of coffees and loose leaf teas. Lots of different plant based mills to choose from… even pea!

Can’t decide which pastry is the best. At the moment I have a three who are sharing nr 1. The pain au chocolate & hazelnut, the almond (and somerhing more) cake and the cruffin. I have tasted almost everything and everything is verry good. I also recomment the Chai with rise/coconut milk.
Read moreI am not from Amsterdam, so when I go I like to sit, relax eating & drinking. Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of space inside with comfortable seats.
This is why I give 4 stars. Food is 5 stars 🤤!

I LOVE the cruffins in Saint-Jean! They are amazing. If you want to try them, try to go there early as they are sometimes sold out after around 3pm. The coffee & other things in Saint Jean are really good as well. Don’t miss out this place!
