Good vegan & vegetarian food options - Edit
It has good vegan & vegetarian options. We ordered Vegan Spring Rolls, Vegan stir-fry noodles, lemongrass & chili tofu, vegan coconut milk curry & banh xeo chay (vegan pancake). All tasted delicious. Will be much better with lesser oil though.

Bánh xèo chay was delicious - Edit
The vegan pancake (bánh xèo chay) was amazing. It was fresh and filling. It had range of vegetables and a generous amount of tofu as well as a side of salad. Really lovely Vietnamese food!
Read moreThe restaurant was really nicely decorated which added to the experience.
Side note, “chay” is generally the word used for vegetarian and vegan in Vietnamese so look out for that on menus at restaurants or when in Vietnam!

Great options and generous tofu portions! - Edit
Saigon has great options for vegans! Theres a whole vegan menu and it’s all super tasty.
Read moreThe Coconut Milk Curry was so yummy, and the Lemongrass Tofu was also really good (albeit a tinyyyy but spicy for me). We also had the Soy Glazed Tofu as a starter which was delicious.
The portions of the tofu in each dish was very generous which is refreshing… sometimes I feel like restaurants are a bit skimpy with the protein sources!
Pros: Cute decor and fast service , Generous portions , Great flavours

Amazing food!! - Edit
We split the vegan spring rolls, the lemon grass noodles with tofu, and the tofu pancake. It was all delicious - the noodles might be my fave thing I’ve had in NZ. Staff was knowledgable about vegan dishes. Would recommend booking ahead - was fully booked at 5 and we were sat at a shared table.

Really tasty - Edit
We had noodle soup (extra large) each and shared some summer rolls.
Read moreSummer rolls were like 2 medium sized rolls sliced into halves. Not enough to share but for £12
Extra large noodle soup was huge! Only $3NZD extra so wasn't expecting it to be so big. It was really good though. Making the whole dish $25NZD.
Loved that it was a variety of different veggies plus tofu instead of the usual one or two plus veggies.
Pros: Broth for soup was really tatsy, Staff were lovely and efficient, Vegan menu section, good prices.
Cons: Bigger summer rolls

Nice restaurant with friendly staff - Edit
Many vegan options which is great. We had noodle soup, summer rolls and coconut curry. The veggies were cooked to the perfect point. All dishes were spiced well although not very strong.

Decent vegan range - Edit
Seperate section of menu with about 6 options. Spring rolls were mostly pastry. Vegan vegetable soup and tofu salad were basic but fine. The best thing is the range where it can be hard to find a variety of options #Veganuary

They won't forget what they've seen - Edit
A beautiful setting in Steamer Wharf by the edge of Lake Waikatipu. A separate vegan menu is always a good thing and very much a rarity in Queenstown. We chose the delightfully fragrant tofu coconut milk curry and a chilli and lemongrass tofu stir fry which was devoured until only microscopic morsels remained on the bowl. A very successful evening indeed. Even our non-vegan dining colleagues went meat free for the evening. Mains are around $30 a decent bottle of Pinot Gris will set you back $55.

Clearly labeled vegan dishes. I had the spring rolls, tofu salad and steamed veggies. Spring rolls and tofu salad were excellent, the steamed veggies were a bit bland and slightly undercooked but overall excellent restaurant.

delicious - Edit
several vegan options clearly marked, almost all tofu based. Had the vegan spring rolls to share as a starter and then the lemon grass and chilli tofu which was so good, i got rice as well as it didn’t come with any but probably didn’t need to as it was so filling. Book on busy nights, we wouldn’t have got a spot if we didn’t have a reservation.

So fresh and tasty - Edit
We had summer rolls and crispy tofu to start, the crispy tofu was one of the best I’ve ever had with delicious crispy kale. We also had lemongrass and chilli tofu with rice and the noodle soup with extra veg. It was all tasty and so fresh and clean. Also very friendly staff and not bad prices - all that with a bottle of wine was $120
