Typical Indian food and practical location - Edit
You can eat vegan Indian food in this very frequented restaurant, which is also very well located. Dishes are good and very inexpensive. Ask for no milk product dishes to be sure.
However, avoid restrooms that are really dirty. The restaurant itself is normally clean.

Authentic indian eatery with modest prices - Edit
I ate at Sahakari Bhandar almost every day during my stay in Mumbai. All dishes are vegetarian and the menu is impressive. Vegan dishes are not specifically marked but the professional staff is helpful and suggested a different delicious dish to me evey time.
Service is very fast and over lunch time many workers come here for a quick, cheap, filling and healthy lunch.
It's located right on the main tourist road in Colaba, opposite Regal cinema.
