OK, but something's missing - Edit

An Asian restaurant with vegan option. All the curries can be with only vegetables. Everything is tasteful, but not really original. The softer cocos curry had a bit to much sugar in it. The place is missing an bit of style. The staff is friendly but not very experienced. Prices are low, so well worth the money.

Pros: cheap, tasteful

Cons: inexperienced staff

Best Curry We've Had In A Long While! - Edit

We've been waiting for Sahaba's to open for a while, as they promised there would be vegan options available. And we weren't disappointed!

They've not been open very long & the manager is very clued up on vegan requirements, so able to advise on choices & adapt menu items readily. He intends to get a proper vegan menu together soon (we visited end Dec 2015). The restaurant has been tastefully renovated & the staff are very friendly, helpful & efficient.

The food is a mix of Indian, Bangladeshi, Thai, grill & European dishes. We tried the Indian & Bangladeshi options on our visit. Of the various speciality curries, over twenty could be made vegan. We didn't get the chance to check how much of the Thai options would / could be vegan.

For mains, we opted for a Vegetable Korma & Vegetable Sag Wala, both of which were beautifully spiced & very different in flavour. For side dishes we had our faves of Bombay potatoes & chana masala - nicely done & again with distinct tastes - with onion fried rice & lemon rice. A lovely mix of fresh flavours & textures, with none of the oiliness you sometimes get.

We agreed these were the best curries we'd had in a long while!

Pros: Huge range of curries, Fresh, carefully spiced options, Friendly & helpful manager

Cons: Limited vegan desserts (so far)
