Wanted to like it

The bbq tofu sandwich had bad tasting raw wet tofu, muchrooms were also not cooked. And it did not come with bbq sauce.
The pho tasted sour
Spring rolls were the best thing we had but even that was over fried and falling apart.
Seemed slapped together even though it was slow.
We ordered tofu fried rice and no tofu was in the rice.
Also when talking about vegan stuff he kept on bringing up gluten, I feel as if he may think gluten free and vegan were the same thing.
I really wanted to like this place

Pros: Vegan options , Right next to another place that had vegan options

Cons: Food, Small portions

Nice concept, poor execution

I was really excited that they have a dedicated vegan menu, and (currently) a free drink or side with coupon if you buy $20 off the vegan menu.

First mistake I guess was ordering in advance. I ordered about an hour in advance and when we got home from picking it up (a 5min at most drive), everything was lukewarm at best.

We got:

- Vegan BBQ tofu w fries and cowboy beans ($13.95):
This was essentially a sloppy Joe. The website says it comes with a vinegar based cole slaw and it was literally just tofu and sauce in a burger bun. There was an option for toppings, which I assumed was *additional* toppings, but maybe it just comes with nothing on it by default. Fries were soggy from sitting hot in Styrofoam for too long. Beans tasted exactly the same as the tofu.

- Vegan Pho, 32oz ($12.95):
Flavorless broth. Good amount of veggies etc, at least. Cold.

- Vegan crispy rolls ($6.95):
Retained some heat, at least. Good, but definitely you need a sauce with it. I wasn't sure which ones were vegan so we used a sauce at home instead.

Free item was a coffee, which I somehow entered by mistake online as I wanted the lemongrass tea. They didn't make the tea today so we ended up with the coffee anyway after I attempted to call and get something else. Not sure how it was as I can't do that much caffeine in the evening and gave it away.

It's still the off season, and they're still new, so I'm hoping they'll be able to course correct. Could've also just been an off night. We'll try again, but we're not in a rush to go back after that.
