Incredible bowls

Sadly, this location is closing (per Instagram and restaurant staff). Excellent heated, covered patio seating with smaller indoor area. The food is filling, fresh, and flavorful. A little pricey per entree.

one of my favorite restaurants

first of all, i’d like to mention that i came here for two meals in a row-! it was that good. sage definitely makes the list of my favorite restaurants of all time. the service was good, the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful, and the food is delicious!
everything i had from here was phenomenal and tasted fresh. i really enjoyed the banh mi sandwich; additionally, i’d recommend any of the pizzas here. both the gluten free crust and the regular crust are well-made. i didn’t feel like i was missing anything when i ordered the gluten free one. the cauliflower wings here are definitely worth a try as well, they aren’t overly battered but still have a good crunch, texture, and flavor.
finally, i really loved the ice cream (kind kreme) here at sage! i’ve been through my share of disappointing vegan ice cream, and although i will say it melts fast, the taste is spot on. the strawberry was my favorite.
overall, this has definitely become one of my favorites. definitely recommend! #Veganuary

Pros: amazing menu, good service, ice cream!!

Cons: i believe some drink may have honey (just a note)

Outstanding options

This is my third Sage restaurant. Although the Sage stores have very different vibes, the food is consistent: creative dishes and many choices. Yes, the prices are about 10% higher than at comparable vegan places, but the patio experience alone is worth a few extra dollars.

Our party of four each ordered something different. I had a hard time deciding, and when I asked the server for guidance, he told me which dishes were the most popular and which be recommended... But it was still tough to choose.

I don't usually get dessert, but we had to try the ice cream. It was the ideal ending to a great meal, flavorful but not heavy duty.

Great service, fresh, high quality ingredients, combined in novel ways. A must-try for vegans, and non-vegans will find plenty to love too.

Delicious restaurant

The food was delicious. I had a pasta dish with eggplant. The most memorable was the fried artichoke hearts appetizer. It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture.

Selling Honey is 0% Vegan

Is the description of your business which includes honey still accurate? Why have vegan in your business listing name on HC? That's fraud.

Defund animal abusers to defend the rights of all animals to be left alone from human capitalism and commerce. Calling a business vegan while selling honey, isn't just a bit sh*t; it is the very definition of fraud. I would love to update and delete this review, so please lettuce know when honey is no longer on your list of in-greedy-ents.

Bees are sentient animals.

Honey as commerce kills millions of bees per year.

All animals deserve the right to bee left alone.

Extensive yet expensive menu

Amazing variety within the menu. Pizzas and pretzel were delicious. Cocktail was disappointing, especially for the price.

A phenomenon

Sage is exactly the heartbeat of Los Angeles vegan. From the room and patio to the staff to the music to the restaurant garden and CSA organic farm.

Plus Kind Kreme is here!

The beers, every single thing on the menu. You can be healthy as you like or party food only with quality ingredients in mind.

A vegan restaurant should be the heartbeat of LA Vegan. Not a place that sells honey for pleasure and profit.

Vegan Perfection

I couldn’t be happier with this find, I went on my last night and it was divine!
All the food was so full of flavour the dishes where so big and filling and the prices in comparison to the rest of LA where so reasonable and well worth the incredible food received, service was quick and friendly and the place was just a little slice of vegan heaven.

Pros: All vegan menu , Desserts and a huge selection of ice creams , Delicious!!!

Definitely a must-visit

You really can't go wrong with a trip to Sage. I really dig the seating area. The food here is really good. I'm not a beer drinker but I do like to grab some of their brews for my brother back home.

Solid vegan eats

Love the bowels here. Healthy portions. Only thing I’m not a fan of is the pizza. They do not make their own vegan cheese so the pizza is subpar, however everything else pretty solid!

I love Sage

This is probably my favorite or one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Los Angeles. They have lovely outdoor seating, and there is something for everyone here. It never disappoints! Whether your thing is ice cream, baked goods, sandwiches, pizza, salads, or bowls; you will be happy here! I have brought many carnivore friends here, and everyone loves it. I love the option to get a little treat afterward at kindkreme too.

Pros: ambiance, delicious food, lots of options

Best vegan restaurant I’ve experienced

My non-vegan friend recommended this place and I will be forever thankful. I couldn’t figure out what to choose as my entree because the menu is packed with all kinds of options, but I went with the Lemongrass pasta. I’m STILL daydreaming about it. It was spicy, creamy, super flavorful. I added some tofu on the side but honestly, the pasta on its own was perfect.

We split the mac and cheese and it is the creamiest and cheesiest one I’ve ever had (even pre-vegan). I wish we could’ve ordered more because the serving is kind of small, especially for sharing. The pretzel with the habanero cream cheese dip was also excellent. If I lived in LA, I would be eating here on the regular.

Delicious huge menu

We stopped here on a drive back from SB to SD. It was right off the freeway and so delicious. My husband and I both loved what we got and I wish I could have tried more!! So many of the dishes looked delicious. I am usually a person who knows exactly what I want at restaurants because I am super picky. Usually there is like 1-2 things on a menu that look good to me, but I was overwhelmed by how many things I wanted to try. The service was great too! I hope we will be back on another road trip!

Pros: Huge menu, Dog friendly, Cute ambience

Cons: Expensive

Hard not to love this place

We were a large group and all enjoyed meals. Cauliflower is hyped. They are good. Worth a try. Pesto burger (which is a tempeh patty) was very good. Fries were great. Others enjoyed lasagne, eggplant farmasan, orange chick-un. The icea cream was also very good. Was there with 5 non-vegans who discussed trying the other branches since they liked this one.
