Confusing ordering process - Edit
It took 2 servers, 2 different menus, and dozens of questions for our party of 4 to be able to order vegetarian and vegan dishes at Sage on Laurel. Their veg menu was out of date (or something?) so we had to cobble together options. Our server was very friendly, patient, attentive, and apologetic about the confusion. I was grateful she was eager to help and not annoyed at our many questions!
Read moreMy tofu peanut wrap was decent but nothing super memorable. The decor was interesting and made the place feel very neighborhood-oriented.

Excellent choices, mindfully prepared - Edit
I loved having a real selection of actual plant-based dishes, not just compromise or token options. The walnut wild rice burger was excellent and so was the muhammara appetizer. Excellent choice of local craft beers on draft too!

We visited brainerd and checked this place for lunch, everyone is very kind in the restaurant, food was ok . The veggie spring rolls were very good. The sweet potatoes fries had some sugar or a sweet thing on top and I’m not used to that, so it was not my fav. The veggie wings were good, not spicy although I’m not used to bbq sauces.

Nice atmosphere & reasonable prices! Ask for a dietary accommodation menu & quite a few vegan options. Great food, especially anything Muhammara dip (salad, nachos, panini). Seasonal patio seating with some herbs growing around edge & used right there. We love this place!
