Great value food with great flavours - Edit
A brief visit to Lancaster resulted in a visit to The Sage Cafe. Menu is not too extensive but what they do prepare is extremely tasty. Multiple salads available and good value. A nice selection of drinks and super friendly chatty staff. There is the option of a small or large size in the sliced cakes, the large is rather large bit I managed it. Opposite the big police station in Lancaster but car parks available all around Lancaster.

Julie and Kim are just WONDERFUL. You won’t be disappointed! - Edit
Julie and Kim at The Sage Café went above and beyond. It’s not often you come across such willing people, and I struck gold when I reached out to them for their help. My Mum had been admitted to The Royal Lancaster Infirmary Hospital and was having an awful time. On top of that, she was served a lacto-free yogurt and banana for her dinner one day as they clearly had no clue about providing meals for someone following a vegan diet. I live in Dubai so felt helpless and contacted Julie and Kim to see if there was anything they could do to help. I found them on The Happy Cow and they came back to my email quickly explaining they are delivering heat-at-home meals during the closure of their café. I explained the hospital wouldn’t allow my Mum to heat any food from outside the hospital, so not only did they say they would heat the food for her, but they would deliver it to her ward at the hospital each day at 5pm ready for dinner time on the ward.
Read moreMy Mum sent me photos every day of how overwhelmed she was with the fresh food put in front of her, along with cakes and flapjacks to keep her going throughout the days (the peanut curry was her absolute fave!).
I honestly cannot thank Julie and Kim enough for going above and beyond to bring my Mum some happiness during a difficult time. They are wonderful humans and if you’re ever in Lancaster looking for fresh, homemade vegan food, then look no further.
We are so very grateful to you both.

Had an excellent nut roast there for lunch with some very tasty salads! The couple who runs the place are extremely friendly and very accommodating, definitely doing their best to make everyone happy.
Read moreThe place felt very similar to the previous café with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. They should perhaps get some plants in and give the place a bit more atmosphere.
