Fantastic restaurant - Edit
We absolutely loved this place. The jalapeno poppers and Brussels sprouts were phenomenal apps, while the jackfruit bbq sandwich, pesto heirloom tomato pizza w cashew crema, and Bollywood bowl were all outstanding.

Pizza is not good - Edit
I can not really recommend the pizzas. Actually, they do not even taste like pizza because they use pesto instead of tomato sauce. And $ 40 for 2 pizzas is unfortunately not justified. Ambiance and service is good.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! - Edit
We had the Mac & Cheese and Jackfruit Stuffed Avacado appetizers. Both were excellent! The Mac & Cheese is one of the best vegan ones I've had. Then I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and loved it. It has maybe a bit too much kale for me but otherwise, it was also excellent.

One of the Best Fresh and Healthy Vegan Spots in LA - Edit
The only reason I wouldn't go 5 stars is because the price is just a little high in my opinion. Often not an issue for me, because I love setting my work lunch meetings here. :)
Read moreOther than that this place is great. Very friendly staff, great bartender and servers. I've been here dozens of times and often go to the same items because I love them so much, but here's what I've had:
Bowl of Soul - Absolutely the best item on the menu and my go-to. Loaded with all the healthy vegan daily needs (beans, sweet potato, kale and quinoa) and topped off with a guilty pleasure fried mac-n-cheese ball in buffalo sauce. It's the best vegan dish around.
Cauliflower Wings - Really really good. A lot of places make them too soggy or soft, but Sage's are nice and crisp and a good amount of spice.
Nachos - I love nachos, all nachos, nachos are the greatest and these are pretty solid (prefer Veggie Grille's but these have a cleaner/healthier taste)
Jalapeno Poppers - One of those food items that I just wrote off after giving up dairy and assumed I'd never have again, but Sage made it possible to indulge in these amazing spicy bombs. Absolutely love 'em.
Fried Artichoke Hearts - Pretty good. Not really worth the $13
Mole Bowl - Right up there with the Bowl of Soul. Really great combo of flavors and have ordered this multiple times.
Raw Bowl - Not a fan of apples/fruit mixed with savory dishes, but the rest of this bowl is spot on.
Bollywood Bowl - I don't normally order Indian outside of an actual Indian restaurant because the spices and flavors are so uniquely complex, but this one is pretty good.
Pulled Jackfruit BBQ - Makes a great wrap if you like jackfruit which is kinda boring, but they nail the flavors.
Street Tacos - Very very good, but not filling so add some beans or something.
PRETZELS! Get 'em to go instead of dessert. Really good. The dipping sauces are so-so. Not bad by any means, but not as impressive as the rest of their stuff.
Kombucha flavors are all really good. The green juice is fantastic too, but WAY overpriced.
Haven't tried the pizzas or dinner entrees yet, but just typing this is making me crave some Sage so I'm likely trying them today for lunch.
Pros: Great combo of indulgence food and healthy options, Big menu, Focused on local and commitment to enviro causes
Cons: A little pricey, but worth it for an occasion, Cool dining room, but gets pretty loud when busy

So good! - Edit
Awesome environment and even better food! Went for brunch and had a delicious variety of both vegan and gluten free food. The cornbread jalapeño pancakes were possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Everything else was tasty as well, but the pancakes were standout! Hope to go again soon because I want to try everything on the menu.

Fantastic food - Edit
The food here is top notch! We started with the 3 wing platter- buffalo, bbq, and an Asian sauce. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower pizza which was delicious and the butternut squash raviolis which were definitely the best overall. Wish we could have tried the rest of the menu!

Lovely patio dining - Edit
This place is a great vegan option! It can get a little pricey, but there are so many options and almost all that I’ve tried are really tasty. The service can be slow at times - so don’t go if you’re limited on your time. The outdoor patio is lovely. Try the buffalo cauliflower (if you like a bit of spice) - it’s delicious!

Sage is a great restaurant but it’s also a great place to take people you want to impress! The mood inside is great, the food is all excellent, and I’m always surprised that some of the dishes aren’t more expensive than they are. The menu is also quite large and varied.

Favorite Restaurant in California - Edit
Sage Plant Based Bistro is the perfect place for a date night, catching up with friends, a nice dinner with family. There is an outdoor seating area warmed by heat lamps, indoor booths, indoor tables, and an indoor bar. There are lots of seats, but Sage is very popular, so it can fill up fast.
Read moreThe staff was super helpful with my allergies. The head chef came to our table to talk to us and go over what I could have. She even offered some special dishes that we not specifically on the menu. They really understood allergies and I felt very comfortable eating there.
My mom and I both ordered buckwheat crust pizzas with pesto and cheese, I had Daiya cheese and my mom had Follow Your Heart, with veggies on top. The pizza crust was crisp but chewy. The walnut pesto was very good; the roasted walnut flavor really came through.
For dessert, we spilt the chocolate ganache cake with vegan ice cream. If you go to Sage, you must order the chocolate ganache cake! This creamy chocolate delicious-ness will absolutely blow your mind! It has a perfectly smooth and silky texture and it pairs well with the raspberry coulis. The vanilla and mint chip gelato is super creamy, not icy. It gives a great contrast to the chocolate ganache.
This was my mom and I's favorite restaurant we tried in California. To see more pictures and footage of the vegan restaurants we tried on our trip in CA, watch my vlog here: youtu.be/r8XlmeTxhP8

One of the best in the Los Angeles area - Edit
Well I could endlessly talk to you about Sage. First of all, of the mid-priced vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in the LA area, this was undoubtedly my favourite.
Read moreThe food is just incredible and the menu is huge. You can go raw, fast food, and anything in between. I came back three times in two weeks and tried as much as possible. My absolute favourite were the raw tacos with walnut cranberry meat. But don’t miss out on the cauliflower hotwings either. The ceviche could have been better.
Now the atmosphere is absolutely great. Their patio is gorgeous, a little vegan paradise. The ambiance is casual, dress any way you like. The staff is absolutely lovely. One downside, their bottomless mimosas are made with cider instead of champagne, in fact, they do not serve champagne at all.
Sage is completely vegan. Any vegan knows the joy of not having to think about anything when ordering. But don’t hesitate to take your non-vegan friends. They will be happily surprised.

Pros: Completely vegan, Gorgeous patio, Huge menu
Cons: No champagne
