Good food, though vegans should order carefully

On the top floor of Elante Mall, Sagar Ratna is a reliable option for reasonably healthy vegetarian Indian cuisine from both the south and the north.

Much of the menu is lacto-vegetarian, but fortunately there are some vegan options. Vegans are advised to take care to ask whether a given dish is prepared with ghee or vegetable oil, and then also ask about milk, cream, butter, and yoghurt, since simply asking about "dairy products" may not lead to a thorough and informed consideration.

Once the ordering hurdle is past, the food itself is quite good.
