Very nice lunch! - Edit
We had the half salad / half sandwich option and it was great. Instead of cheese, the woman offered to add hummus to make it vegan. Very appreciated!

Great flavor and variety - Edit
They have a variety of really flavorful and yummy Mediterranean fare. We got a panini with hummus, cucumber, tomato, and roasted veg and a lentil stew. Delicious and good sized portions. Nice atmosphere, too.

Under seasoned - Edit
This place is great I just wish more options were exclusively vegan then can add cheese. Also everything needed lots of salt. But was yummy and a nice place to have local.

Opening hours incorrect. We waited outside for 20 mins. Those inside ignored us. - Edit
Arrived according to the times stated online. Sat outside. People inside didn’t come and explain they’d be opening late. Waited 20 mins. Left.... hungry.

Delicious Sandwich - Edit
It is not easy to find good vegan food in Monterey, but Saffron is perfect. They are very supportive and offer to modify most of their vegetarian choices to vegan. The sandwiches are very delicious and can be made gf

High Quality Mediterranean Food - Edit
We were visiting Monterrey for the day and were happy to find this place. We had the Ghaymesh Stew and Oven Roasted Vegetables Saffron Bowls. While both were good, I prefer the Ghaymesh Stew for really excellent flavor and aromas. The service was fast and friendly. The menu offers something for everyone including children.

Lots of vegan options and food was freshly prepared - Edit
This is a completely vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options. The food is freshly prepared and full of flavour. Vegan options included their signature dish “rice bowls” which was like a Buddha bowl with rice, lots of fresh veggies and your topping of choice (stew of the day, ghaymeh stew, ghormah sabzi, loobia polo or oven roasted veggies). Other vegan options include soups, small bites, desserts and a lot of the sandwiches could be made vegan by removing the cheese. We visited here twice and enjoyed both times. Food is also available to take away

Good not great - Edit
Had lunch there today. It just felt a bit low energy and limited. I had a vegan salad which was good, fresh and tasty. It would have been good to have some smoothies or something like that as the drinks were a bit limited and not that good for you. Also one of the options was to add avocado to the salad for $2 but they had run out of it. Avocado is a vegan/veggie staple so running out - really? Overall, go there, good food, especially considering the rubbish which is on offer in the area!

first time visit from long time resident and visitor. - Edit
Just had the roasted veggies over delicious white saffron Basmati rice. Ask for extra tahini dressing to dip veggies in. Vegan and vegetarian choices . Give them a try.
