Beautiful place to get delicious vegan food on the sea front - so much choice! We had starters, mains and dessert - what a treat! Super creative Portuguese- Algeria dishes. If you are vegan or not I’m portmao coming here is a must!

Amazing quality and vegan options - Edit
Some fantastic vegan options, all home cooked and more imaginative than most places on the Algarve. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. And the dessert was incredible! Definitely recommended for the vegan choice.

The menu has a separate section for vegans and I chose the seitan in peppercorn sauce with fries. Honestly it was some of the best seitan I’ve had ! Followed by strawberries with vegan ice cream… so simple yet so good. Staff and owner were very friendly

Schöne Terrasse, Essen geht besser - Edit
Die Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Essen hat uns leider nicht wirklich begeistert. Die Pommes waren leider garnicht gut – wirkten so als hätte man sie schon mehrfach aufgewärmt. Seitan war okay, die Vorspeisen waren auch okay aber nichts besonderes. Wir hatten uns mehr erhofft und kommen leider nicht wieder.

Ordered dish wasn't complete - Edit
I ordered the tofu with the kiwi coulis. When the waiter brought the dish, the kiwi coulis were missing. I asked about that, because that was the reason I ordered this meal. He just told me, that they didn't have it. Imo this is a no go, they should have told me, when I was ordering.
Read moreSo all I had was an expensive piece of tofu with a few french fries for 14€. The tofu with the sauce was ok, but nothing special. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

Unusual Vegan Options! - Edit
This place is worth a visit if you want something different! They base a lot of their food on unusual food combos, e.g. I had banana ceviche (banana with citrus juice, onions, chilli, herbs - strangely works really well!), and seitan with agave sauce strawberry rice (in a cute heart shape). The seitan paired with the strawberry rice worked well as a sweet main dish (although the strawberry rice I’m still not sure how I felt about haha). The tofu with kiwi coulis was delicious! Really great to try these kinds of options that you won’t find elsewhere!

Tofu and seitan! - Edit
I was so impressed to see tofu and seitan on the menu, I felt spoilt for choice! I went with the seitan in peppercorn sauce and it was fantastic (veg could have been sautéed/seasoned instead of just being boiled but I guess boiled is healthier). I wish I had time to go back and try the strawberry rice! Gorgeous views of the beach. The most friendly service of our whole trip. Definitely recommend!

To look at it, you wouldn’t think this was a restaurant as it is a clothes shop at the front with the lovely little food place at the back. There were a number of vegan options available and we went for the seitan steak. It was lovely - first peppercorn sauce we have had since going vegan - but could have done with more veggies. €77 for three meals and a number of drinks. Good place!

I ordered the tofu curry and was very impressed. It was tasty, good portion size and you get a salad and fries with it. It's a filling meal, good for dinner. Very good service too, the staff are respectful, friendly and polite. Food came relatively quickly. Would recommend.

Not just the standard vegan options - Edit
For my main I chose seitan with strawberry rice, something I had never tried before, it was great! I also had a delicious caramel came for dessert which was amazing! I loved going off season as it wasn't packed and we could take in the atmosphere. Vegan options clearly labelled, which is always a bonus.

Bagel for a burger - Edit
Mushroom starter was lovely. Our main was the beyond burger which was served in a bagel which was a bit of a bizarre experience. Funnily enough we had eaten the same bagel from the Spar down the road that day, so it felt like they had popped down to the Spar to get some bagels when they ran out of regular buns. Dessert was ice cream which tasted good - salted caramel and chocolate. Service was not very attentive. Expensive for what we received.

This place has a gorgeous view, and I loved trying the veganized Portuguese dishes on our first day in a Portugal. Food was of good quality and server Thibault was stellar, maybe my favorite server ever! Only downside was high cost and had to pay in cash. But it’s definitely worth it for a nice meal out!

Good selection of vegan food at this unassuming restaurant - we greatly enjoyed the veggie curry, the braised tofu, and seitan pepper sauce in particular, and went back a second time for the veggie curry.
Read moreA number of the staff are Angolan, and are so friendly and helpful. It was wonderful to have time to speak with them and hear about their experiences. The owner took time to explain her menu choices to us, and her passion for food and for her team is apparent. All of this added to a great experience, and I would recommend a visit to Safari.

The entrance is a bit weird as you have to go through a shop to get to it but apart from that it’s a lovely place. We sat on the balcony and had amazing views of the sea. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly
