A este restaurante he ido muchas veces y una de las cosas que me sorprende es que cambian mucho de personal, por tanto la atención en ocasiones en buena, en otras es regular. La comida la mayoría de veces es muy buena, pero en ocasiones su proteína vegetal (de marca propia), la dejan muy cocida y se siente muy seca y un poco dura.

Hace poco se movieron de local dentro del mismo edificio de City U.

Un muy saludable hallazgo - Edit
Estuve en Sabyi-CityU con una amiga texana y ordenamos Wrap Especial y Platos Argentino. La atención fue formidable y quienes trabajan eñincluso en la cocina y sus meseros fueron muy amables. A mi amiga le gustó mucho la sopa de espinacas y los diferentes sabores que encontró... Para ella todo era nuevo e incluso para mí.

Read moreI ordered a chicken schnitzel type of thing, mainly because the menu said that it would be accompanied by mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce. After 8 months on the road I was craving for some good old potato mash and my favorite - tasty creamy mushrooms!
Imagine my disappointment when the plate finally arrived. The mashed potatoes were replaced by one (one!) cooked, barely salted potato that was topped with a suspicious-looking and even more suspicious-tasting white sauce with a chemical aftertaste.
The mushroom sauce consisted of three flavorless mushroom slices in something that I identfied as water with maybe a little salt and pepper.
The side salad was overloaded with no-ham-slices and even more chemical-tasting creamy sauce.
The schnitzel thing was the only thing that actually tasted nice! They make their own fake meat products, so it is obviously the specialty of the house.
After the meal I deeply regretted having spent the sum of 20,000 COP on something that did not even meet the menu description. The staff was very nice though and even gifted me a small turrón at the checkout (I hadn't complained about the food).
Maybe I was just unlucky and their other options are better. As the prices are a little on the higher side I was too nervous to give them a second chance, but I would like to, since the place is in a convenient location and it has veggie versions of many dishes that are hard to find vegetarian. The shop section looked pretty legit, many interesting products for sale.
See you next time Sabyi, I might give it one more try!

Tasty food for a good price - Edit
The place is located in a little mall. It's quite big for what I imagined. It doesn't have any charm or even character but it's clean so I really didn't mind. There are a few Italian dishes in menu but I have chosen a very classic sandwich. And it was really great! Especially I was happy with taste of meat substitute which you also can buy separately and take home. Prices are also very good. I really regret that I could go there only once!

Great option for students - Edit
This Sabyi right in CityU is a great option for vegan students in the area. They have a great market with lots of their products and some others. Food is cheap and it is served in great portions. They could stick to the hours they've set. They open early.
