The place may not look like it from the outside, but they have multiple veganized Portuguese dishes. We had the beans and the sausage and both were great - unfortunately they were out of deserts

Lots of vegan options - Edit
I was surprised to find a place with so many vegan options in this small town. The staff is super friendly. I had the vegan salad, there were too many fruits and nuts, but the portion was huge!

Staff are extremely helpful and food is delicious & v good value. I got the vegan Portuguese sausage & chocolate cake. We also ordered olives & a carafe of house white, would highly recommend. If I could give a 5 star I would, but sadly can’t because it’s not fully vegan.

Great selection for such a small town - Edit
It's not easy to find vegan food if you're in such a small town. So we were really happy that they have a lot of different dishes. We had the mushrooms and bolognese which both tasted great. Especially the mushrooms in the white wine sauce. Great place to go if you're staying in Almograve for the night.

The Portuguese vegan 'legumes a bras' dish was okay, tough I have had better.
Read moreThe burger was not okay, very simple , with bread from a package, overall a plain taste, no fries on the side (just a burger) while it cost more than 9 euro !
The chocolate cake was not good either, it felt like it was not baked well, it was a dense structure, had no flufiness of a cake at all, as a result it was too heavy. Looked wet on the surface as well.
Because of the poor burger and chocolate cake I give only 2 stars. The Portuguese dish would have disserved 3 stars.
Nice terrace seating.

It really surprised me, that there were like 7 vegan main dishes to choose from. I had the spaghetti with lentil bolognese, it was quite good. Would give it three stars, but because of the options added one ;)

Nice homemade vegan options. Dedicated menu which includes desserts.

For dessert a nice chocolate cake (brownie style).
Other options include feijoada, vegetables à Brás or mushrooms à Bulhão Pato.

Surprising range of options - Edit
So happy to find this place in such a small village. They have veganized traditional Portuguese food. The vegetais a Bráz was really good as well as the cogumelos a Bulhão Pato. I suggest to taste and share different dishes. Unfortunately there was no vegan desert left. Recommend!!

Fiquei impressionada com a quantidade de pratos vegan, tendo em conta a região. A alheira estava boa, mas fiquei um um pouco desiludida por não ser "fake meat" mas sim uma espécie de açorda de legumes. O staff era bastante simpático, gostei e tenciono voltar.
