Good food not good waiter - Edit

Food was ok but the waiter seemed put out when we asked to have our selections from the vegetarian section of the menu prepared without fish or oyster sauce, after serving us we were completely ignored despite him being very attentive to diners around us. Will not return.

Pros: Food was good and good value.

Cons: The attitude of the waiter.

Disappointing food - Edit

Maybe it depends what you order. Both my partner and I were disappointed with our meals. I swear on my life my food tasted like barely cooked veggies in ketchup sauce. Not worth it to try and eat here again.

Good portions, inexpensive! - Edit

I used to come here years ago, as it was one of the few places I knew where I could get a filling and inexpensive (12$) vegan meal. I always take a padthai (it comes with 2 veggie spring rolls), it's vegetarian but you can ask for it to be vegan. The restaurant is very accommodating, they will make it without eggs and fish sauce no problem.
There is seating outside, especially nice in the summer.

Pros: inexpensive, filling, delicious

Cons: only 1 vegan option

Tasty vegetarian pad Thai - Edit

Cute little Thai restaurant with friendly service. We both got the veggie pad Thai, which it turns out isn’t actually veggie unless you ask them not to use fish ingredients. The “veggie” soup it’s supposed to come with has a chicken base, so we didn’t get it. That was a bit disappointing, but the waiter was very helpful in telling us all this and making sure we knew what was veggie and what was not. Big portions and a cute atmosphere.

Thoughtfully prepared - Edit

We visited Sabhai after seeing the listing here, on HappyCow. We found the service to be friendly and when I was ordering the host was sure to clarify if vegan was required and gave me a number of options that were not listed on the menu as well as some that were. There are many choices for vegans and vegetarians and they are only to happy to help.

The food was fresh and tasty. We were impressed by the quality, speed and service.
