Good, at times

Eat here at Christmas time and had a great meal, went back recently and the menu was more basic. Advisable to reserve a table if going at the weekend

Pros: Service, Atmosphere

Cons: Inconsistent quality , Can be difficult to get seating

So average

Cauliflower wing starter is fine. Main course risotto was tasteless and portion was tiny

Typical pub food

Good few options on their vegan menu, had a good feed, dessert option wasn't available on my visit

Fun spot

Super fun spot with great staff, make sure you ask for the vegan menu when you sit down. The cauliflower wings were alright but the vegan burger was great! Their drinks are pretty great as well!

Solid

This pub is always a popular spot so Id say book, especially now due to COVID restrictions.
Popular with a range of clients from students through to older locals. Not really a family place but there plenty else around if that's what you require.
Despite the colourful mural on the outside it's rather plain inside. Reflects the offering.
Serves a menu of around 4 veg / vegan options, including Boxty ( a kind of potato pancake ) and a veggie burger plus an array of sides. Not a huge variety but solid enough and portions OK.
Also has fully stocked bar with the usual diageo stuff (Guiness) on the pumps.
Rotation of desert offerings too.
I got the meal deal, 2 courses for £11 if memory serves, wasn't excellent but wasn't bad. Consider this to be a benchmark offering and not a bad place to eat if you want something fairly casual and pint. Basically MOR all round.
