Real Spanish cuisine!

I was impressed that a restaurant in such a small town had so many vegan options. As a traveler, tasting the local cuisine is part of the experience, but as a vegan, options are limited. That is why I was pleasantly surprised that so many of their vegan options were based off of traditional Spanish cuisine. I wish I remembered the name of the dish (I need to start taking pictures of menus), but it was a vegetable soup with a soft dough at the bottom. It was definitely an experience!

Lovely vegan food in La Alpujarras

We were surprised to find a restaurant with so many vegan choices in a tiny village of Pampaneira.

It’s a large restaurant with a lovely terrace to enjoy food with a view!

We received a lovely comp tapas of bread with a vegan pate.

I wanted to order two dishes but the waitress was kind enough to offer one combined plate of both dishes. A very tasty potatoes with peppers and also a traditional dish of broad beans with onions and garlic.

We also had a delicious stew of beans and wild fennel, and a huge salad.

There’s at least 10 vegan choices in this restaurant, so you won’t be short of choices for a delicious meal in the Alpujarras.

Recommended!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious homely food

Cons: A little pricey
