Nice place, outdoor seating, vegan food - Edit
The south entrance of the Conguillio National Park is in better condition than the other roads. This restaurant is right before the gate of the park and it was fantastic to know that they are aware of veganism and could make a vegan dish for me. Besides being so close to the park, it was also very interesting to try a bit of the Mapuche gastronomy and their use of local products such as the Araucaria's pine nuts.
Read moreWhen I ordered I was told I would receive a plate of stir-fried veggies with pine nuts. The dish came with a huge portion of the above veggies, plus a few potatoes with Merkén (a traditional hot and smoke chili powder) and a Ceviche made with a seaweed called Cochayuyo (commonly used in Chile). Also, a few Sopaipillas, which are fried bread, only in this case were made with pine nuts flour too.
Local beers, outdoor seating, slow service (no worse than usual), simple but tasty, and abundant vegan food a few km from the park entrance. Recommended

Pros: vegan options, traditional food, huge portions
Cons: you don't know what exactly you will get :-)
