Fresh and tasty - Edit
I was impressed to learn this small town in Tassie has a restaurant with a dedicated vegan menu. The restaurant was just a short walk from where we were staying at the Empire Hotel. I ordered the roti with peanut sauce which was delicious- the roti was crispy and sauce was flavourful. I ordered the vegan stir fried veggies with cashew nuts and plain rice. The veggies were cooked perfectly and had a tasty sauce, but there were no cashews in my meal - presumably because they were busy, it was just a minor oversight. It didn’t matter though - I really enjoyed the meal anyway.

We ordered the rice extra because they actually serve no rice to the curries. Reservation on Sundays is recommended because this restaurant is the only one who opens on Sundays.

Nice that there is an asian vegan offered here. Seperate menu. Just small and dear. The historic hotel pub down the road also has vegan options.

Tasty Unfortunately Small - Edit
The food was delicious, I was a fan of the salt & pepper tofu. It’s amazing that they have catered for vegans having a vegan menu range out in the middle of no where! However for the cost, the serving sizes are tiny. I’d be more satisfied if they put more on the plate.

Delicious but expensive - Edit
The food was so delicious and fresh but the packaging was small in comparison to our local in Brisbane and cost twice as much. It was still worth it though for the flavour, we were still hungry so ordered more! There were not as many vegan options as I was led to believe but we had the ginger stir fry, the satay stir fry and the yellow curry all with tofu and veggies which were all a very big hit. We also had the spring rolls and the salt and pepper tofu balls which were greasy but moreish.

Full vegan menu, plenty of choice! - Edit
I was so excited to find this gem, a full vegan menu meant I was spoilt for choice. Went for the Pad Thai which was delicious and a good full serving, also ordered the Vegan Roti with satay sauce which was crispy and amazing! Not a drop of sauce was left!

Pretty good to find a vegan menu so far away from a city. It’s very basic though, no vegan substitute meats but it’s decent food for a vegan.
