Small hopping cafe - Edit
Vegan French toast still available. They were packed when we arrived, but only needed to wait 5 minutes for a table. Smothered veggie burrito was tasty, just ask for it with no egg if vegan. Coffee pretty good, 7/10.
Read morePros: Veggie green chili was good, Friendly server introduced herself., Staff quick to turn tables after guests depart.
Cons: Didn't see Just egg listed on menu anymore.

Two vegan options - Edit
We’re always grateful when a restaurant offers vegan options, though since Rupert’s offers only two, we couldn’t recommend making a special trip to eat here. It is, however, one of the only breakfast/brunch options in town for vegans and omnivores dining together.
Read moreThe two veganizable options (as of mid-2025) are the French toast and the “Heirloom Potato Hash.” The latter can be made vegan either by subtraction (requesting no egg) or by requesting it with “Just Egg” (a processed plant-based egg alternative). In any case, be sure to specify “all vegan” so that they don’t include butter or egg. We found the potato hash to be pretty good and the French toast to be a bit tough (had to cut it with a knife) but otherwise tasty.
Note that none of the other items that look potentially veganizable can be served vegan: for example, they told us that the veggie hash and the veggie scramble burrito both have animal products pre-mixed into them so they can’t be served vegan.

Shared grill - Edit
Yes, some options for some, but they're made on a shared grill. They do say the vegan items are on their own area. Just so you know.
