No longer has dedicated Vegan menu.

Visited this restaurant because Happy Cow stated it had a dedicated Vegan menu. This is no longer the case, as after asking for the Vegan menu we were directed to ordering from the main menu. Basically it is has limited "can be made Vegan" dishes. We had the Tofu Pad Thai as it seemed the safest option. This was very good. Restaurant had excellent serving staff.

Pros: Attentive staff

Cons: Limited Vegan options

Best sorbet ever

There is an upmarket feel to this country restaurant with rooms. We had a warm welcome. There are a few vegan options in each menu section. Quite a few nibbles and starters, two mains and three puddings. I had a tasty noodle stirfry with lightly battered tofu. He had a curry. He would have liked more rice but otherwise it was good. He had sticky toffee pudding and I had the most delicious spiced orange sorbet. If there is anything to report from tomorrow’s breakfast I will update the review. The room looks lovely.
Update - the room was very comfortable and quiet. There is a choice of a light breakfast or full English. No obvious vegan option but on enquiry they can do a vegan cooked breakfast. I was so stuffed from last night I went for the light. I had Kellogg’s fruit and fibre with oat milk (had to request), wholemeal toast with vegan spread and preserves, an orange, a pear and coffee. So a big breakfast after all!

Entire vegan menu including desert

I visited the hotel last night and had tofu spring rolls to start, Thai curry as a main and chocolate brownie for desert. 10/10
