Very friendly and vegan friendly!

Staying at Batu Ferrenghi and read the previous reviews about this place.
Glad we gave it a try.
The items marked with V on the menu are clearly marked. The V is more for vegetarian.
Be sure to let them know you are vegan and they will gladly accomodate.
Super friendly.
The dishes that are vegan are super classic: we had a falafel wrap, a falafel plate, the Foul Mudammas (delicious egyptian bean dish, which i highly recommend!), 2 fresh apple and lemon juices and a black mint tea to finish.

Tasty vegan meal

After seeing this place on Happy cow and getting a bit desperate for a vegan meal that wasn't noodles we got a taxi to drop my hubby and I there this evening. We are so glad we went! The owner was really helpful and knowledgeable about his menu and what could be made vegan. We ended up with moussaka (no lamb gravy!), rice, falafels, salad with pomegranate, chips and wraps!....well, we wanted to try a few dishes! All highly recommended!

Pros: Knowledge about vegan, Prices were not bad, Fresh drinks good too

Cons: Chips were a bit undercooked

Vegan options available

They have quite a lot of vegan options compared to restaurants around. It’s Turkish cuisine. Food is good and waiters are nice.

Nice selection of Middle Eastern vegan options

I visited Rubin Mardini based on a few other reviews on here and was welcomed with polite helpful staff and a number of dishes which were vegan friendly.

Most restaurants in this area don’t accept card only the local qr pay apps and cash.

Pros: Lots of options, Good coffee, Friendly staff

Tasty food

Quite a few vegan options here and there are staff members who understand if you ask. One in particular was very aware of vegan and pointed out our options and offered modifications for us.
We had a falafel sandwich (like a kebab/souvlaki) with hummus instead of garlic sauce and we also had the hummus plate which came with flatbread.
It was all very nice and reasonably priced.
Not as cheap as street food of course, but reasonable.

Pros: Vegan options, Delicious hummus

Tasty break from Chinese and Indian food

Loved the humus and falafel, the falafel sandwich was especially tasty, it was a welcomed break from Chinese and Indien food. The service was excellent and I loved the fact that the staff knew perfectly well what vegan food entitled and it was clearly marked on the menu.

Pros: Many vegan options easily identified on the menu, Good service, Fair prices

Cons: We got several mosquito bites at the restaurant

A delicious life saver!

We literally ate here every day of our stay in Batu Ferringhi. This town has no fully veggie restaurant and in most places your only option will be fried rice with a few vegetables. But in this turkish place you'll be able to enjoy different super tasty turkish specialties.
They have several delicious vegan dishes and the owner speaks perfect english and is super friendly, helpful and accomodating.
Absolutely recommended!

* Please note: Sadly this place is going to close forever in a month or so because the owner is moving

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff

Cons: It's going to close forever :-(

Great tasty, clean and very cheap food

We’ve been in the Bathu Ferranghi area for ten days now and have struggled for vegan food. It’s there if you know where to look, if the waiting staff know what vegan is, and if you like fiery Indian food, but it’s very hard to find.

Rubin’s was the first place that fully knew what vegan meant, knew the happy cow app and had food for the whole family. Even their chips were good - oh and a bonus of having Vimto and ice too! The owner is knowledgable about veganism and extremely friendly in a shy way.

We had foul (bean stew) with rice, a falafel and houmous wrap and chips. Everything tasted so food and such a bonus nothing nasty was hidden in the food. The bean stew was gorgeous.

Can't wait to be back

We went here in May because there are very little options in Batu Feringgi for vegans but we were pleasantly surprised with this cozy place! Luckily we are going back this week so we are looking forward to the hummus, pita and falafelwraps! Make sure to try the cold pressed green apple juice too! Very friendly and grateful staff as well.

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice food, Good location
