Poor curry

You know roughly what you’re going to get when you eat at a Wetherspoon, cheap food and drink that’s OK, not great just OK, and sometimes it’s a convenient place to meet non vegan friends for lunch. Sadly the curries that my wife and I were served today were very poor. The first ones had to go back as they were cold and not cooked properly. The replacements were slightly better, at least they were hot, but some of the vegetables were still hard and the cauliflower was nearly all stalk. There was very little flavour to the dish - overall it was very poor.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: It’s no good being cheap if the foods not good.

Vegan options an after thought

Breakfast dry and dull

Pros: Nice veranda and view of beach

Cons: Staff confused by what is vegan and what isn’t, Lack of atmosphere, Everyone around you tucking into plates of meat

Nice Pub, Food OK

I have been told that this pub is the biggest Wetherspoons in the country. Not sure if it is true but it's certainly the biggest one I've seen. It has a great location which is literally right out on to the beach. I ordered a vegan breakfast which was unfortunately rather pathetic. It consisted of 2 sausages, half a tomato, one mushroom and two hash browns which barely covered half of the plate. It had mistakenly been sent out without the piece of toast that should have come with it. They were happy to rectify this but I was shocked that the chef had the audacity to serve it like that.

Pros: Interesting venue, Food does the job if you're desperate

Cons: Serves meat and dairy, Portions can be small
