Not a lot of vegan options - Edit
Friendly service but limited unlabeled vegan selection and not quite gourmet chocolate (few bars over 70% cacao). There were 4 vegan truffles and then the standard dark bars were vegan. Very similar to Peace by Chocolate in that the emphasis is on milk chocolate, likely catering to the palate of cruise ship passengers.
Read moreTheir hot chocolate is also not vegan friendly as they melt dark chocolate and then add dairy white chocolate to it. Feels like it would be easy enough to make a vegan drinking chocolate or a spicy Mexican hot chocolate using only melted dark chocolate or cocoa powder.
What we could have: single origin bars and single chocolates: Marzipan, hazelnut, peppermint and strawberry chocolates. Hazelnut was the stand-out and strawberry jelly gets the honourable mention. The Nova Scotia blueberry oat fog tea latte was great!

Only 1 vegan sorbet option - Edit
They only have 1 vegan flavor of sorbet and it's passionfruit, so if you don't like that flavor don't bother. I haven't tried their chocolates yet so I can't comment on those but am glad they have vegan ones.

Perfect for the Sweet Tooth - Edit
I was extremely impressed by Rousseau Chocolatier. The cafe is spacious and bright.
Read moreThey have lots of confectioneries for sale, some vegan, some not but I noticed a lot of their dark chocolate seems to be safe.
Both the gentleman and woman working were very friendly, helpful and informative. They offer both soy and almond milk for coffee drinks and we asked about vegan chocolates and were told the peppermint and marzipan are vegan (I had a friend who went after and she was told more were vegan so inquire when visiting). They also offer dairy-free vegan soft serve sorbet.
The chocolates were absolutely decadent and delicious. I really loved the peppermint! We also tried the raspberry sorbet which was good, sweet and smooth.
For a chocolate shop I am super impressed with the vegan options and plan to go back to satisfy my sweet tooth.
