I am not exaggerating here: this has been one of the best or maybe even the best restaurant experience that I’ve ever had. The food was amazing and the service was great. The people serving us were super friendly. Make sure to make a reservation as they seem to be fully booked all the time.

The food here was incredible — the other reviews were totally on target. We really went all out: 2 apps (the grilled mushrooms and the seitan skewers), 2 mains (sautéed leeks and the zucchini cannelloni), drinks (a glass of red wine and the fresh pineapple mint juice), aaaaaand dessert (the apple crumble with ricotta and lime mousse). The leeks and the apple crumble in particular were stars. 10/10! We did have to make a reservation (we tried to walk in and it was simply too popular), but it was very easy to do via WhatsApp.

A lovely atmosphere and such friendly hosts, I couldn't recommend this place enough! I shared the mushroom gunkan with seaweed which were unreal and for my main the canelloni was perfect! Tried some of the vegan banoffee pie which was such a good treat, and my family all had dishes such as the filo Pastry, sautéed leeks and bean stew, as well as the vegan apple crumble and meringue pie. Everything was so well thought out and prepared, as a vegetarian family this was such a great treat and enjoyed our meal here thoroughly.

Rotas is not just food it is an experience. It is cozy, exciting and welcoming. The food and presentation is comparable to those of fine dining places, with down to earth prices and owners. The vegan pie was also heavenly.

We ate there twice in my short stay on Ponta Delgada. Really warm atmosphere and all delicious, clearly labelled vegan options. My favourite dish was the breaded tofu with sweet potato sauce & kale (main) and a mushroom starter with chestnut purée.

Very friendly staff, nice setting. Food was pretty flavorless; bean stew with seitan seemed probably canned with seitan mixed in. Tofu with pumpkin was better. Appetizers tiny ( half an entire mushroom split between two people for the grilled mushroom appetizer) and also minimally spiced. But grateful that there’s any vegetarian or vegan options at all much less an entire restaurant.

great food in a vegetarian restaurant that caters very well for vegans. Food is superb and very reasonably priced. Staff are great and you come out feeling like you have had a delicious meal (and wine) and made a whole lot of new best friends We ate there three times in 5 days. Lunch deal is a great bargain.

We went during the evening to have a dessert. Normally they do not give a table just for a dessert. The staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate our needs (eat only a dessert). The waitress explained us all the ingredients of the desserts.

Wow, such good value and really tasty food. Had the lunch for €12 which was half soup then two mains with salad/rice. I had zucchini cannelloni with mince and the breaded tofu with pumpkin sauce. Delicious! Soup was tomato with orzo pasta, once again really tasty and great portion sizes! Then had the banoffee pie to takeaway- yum! The biscuit base was to die for. Loved it all and really friendly staff.
