Beachy diner spot

Lots of vegan options ranging from vg chicken burgers to vg lamb flatbread, vg loaded chips and vg bowls (among other bits). Impressive range of offerings for a place that’s not strictly vegan.

We ordered mock chicken burgers and chips to go (for takeaway) as we stopped off on our travels. Partner customised his to make his vegetarian (upgrading to a buffalo ranch sauce and a cheesy chips). This was an option on the menu but couldn’t be added as such on the till, resulting in a mix up when we later received our food.

Staff were friendly, apologetic and quick to try to rectify confusion with vegan vs vegetarian order - updates to the till options would make it clearer for kitchen, I think.

Unfortunately, after replacing, I still ended up with a cheesy chip, but with lots of vegan cheese. Not something I would go for as vg cheese can sometimes be gluey and unpleasant on chips so I personally struggled to eat these. Credit for the crispy/crunch of the chips though! The burger was two unbreaded chicken pieces, which did make it very hard to eat on a single burger bun..(and quite a lot of food—but might be welcome if you are looking for generous portions).

Pros: Takeaway options, Generous amount of food, Location & dog friendly

Cons: Lots of mayo with 2 patties made it slippery/messy

Lovely family setting

Staying in Bude for a few days and found very little in the way of vegan options and kid friendly. Rosie’s Kitchen Diner ticked both these boxes.
There was also plenty of choice for me as a vegan including vegan fish and chips, burger, Korean tofu burger, salads, couscous bowl, vegan pizzas, ice cream, brownie and milkshake!
I had the Korean tofu burger, it was delicious, super soft tofu coated in crispy batter in. Bun with ample sauces and dressings & a generous portion of chips. Finished with a chocolate milkshake, yum!
My daughter had a kids pizza and a side of fries, pizzas are made in a pizza oven fresh and she enjoyed very much.
Order at bar, food delivered to you.
Kids play area outside which was a hit. We could sit and wait for food while she played.
And it’s right by the beach, just lovely!

Pros: Choices, By the beach , Family friendly

Yummy vegan birthday

Lovely warm and welcoming. We had 2 omnivores, vegetarian, vegan (me for my birthday) and a toddler. The food and service was brilliant with a selection of options for all. I was too full to eat everything, I am sure if I asked they would have let me takeaway. The team caters for allergies too. The art work and TV were on theme for the area and for looking after the environment. The loos were individual cubicles / unisex and baby changing also had a small loo and lower sink for kids. The staff were efficient and friendly and did very well dodging my toddler who was running around. My little one also enjoyed the outdoor play area to let off steam before his afternoon nap allowing us to eat in peace. They also had woodburning stoves to keep everyone warm inside. Dog friendly too.
